Hi Autumn. I’ve been using the I Ching for a long time, but I bought these cards because they are gorgeous. However, I managed to lose the book. I have other books so that’s not a big problem, but I would like to know how to get to each card. Do you just pick a card? Do you shuffle them? Do you still use the coins? Could you explain that process please? Thank you so much. 🙏🏻😊
lovely, thank you. I have used the Princeton edition and my 3 Chinese coins for close to 60 years and it has become such a part of how I see the world. You gentle explanation and this beautiful deck were a delight, I am looking forward to using them. 🌷🕊️🌟🙏🏻
Thank you for explaining how to use the changing lines with the book. I got this deck for the practical key words but now I'm interested in learning about I Ching and the changing lines.

I know this is an older video… BUT: I just very accidentally stumbled on Paul O’Brien’s work - and JUST ordered the Visionary I Ching - and now just discovered YOU and your channel. Hooray! I LOVE your emphasis on the Book of CHANGES…. and your discussion of Tarot syntax - e.g. how a reading might articulate the link between (as it were) trigrams, and also how cards can function as (as it were) moving lines. For me, the crucial question in Tarot really is how we effect CHANGE. And most Tarot readers don’t orient toward that question. Thank you!!

I hope to return to making tarot videos soonish. The blank cards are spare cards that can be used if you lose one of the other cards. The other option needs a video! But they can be used in readings as the ‘space’ between things or the starting point. 😊

I deeply appreciate you <3 I have a question, if you ever have the time and energy: When two cards are pulled (in your example we have 47. Oppression and 64. Nearing Completion), we read the line changes as listed under the Oppression card in the guidebook. Do we also read the line changes listed under the Nearing Completion card, as well? Or, are we only focusing on the changes as reflected under the first card, Oppression? I understand it as: 1. Read the description for Oppression (card 1); 2. Read the line changes for Oppression as they change in Nearing Completion (card 2); 3. Read the description for Nearing Completion-- but not its line changes; 4. Read the line changes for Nearing Completion, only if a third card is pulled-- in which case, we would read the line changes that occur with between Nearing Completion and that third card. Is this correct? Thank you again <3
Traditionally, you have two hexagrams for a reading. The one you throw for, it’s changing lines, and the new hexagram formed from the changes. With this deck; Think of the first card as the primary card which ‘changes’ and ‘moves’ towards the next. So, just as I did in the video, you read the first card, the changing lines, the 2nd card. That’s it. 😊 I’m so glad you got so much out of my video, I love to be of help. Blessings 🧡
Hi. I wish I could tell you an exact place. Unfortunately, I bought mine years ago and don’t have a record of where. It’s not an easy deck to find and as far as I know it’s only available from Greek or Turkish sites. I took a chance on a Greek website using Google translate! There’s a FB group you could try asking. wow, this video was really informative. I use I Ching a lot, I had a teacher who got me in love with the whole concept... "it's an ancient binary code! I-Ching was basically an ancient computer" he would scream, his eyes shining with excitement! I never managed to use it with cards, though, only the coins. The deck is beautiful, some of the keywords are awesome... like "gentle penetration" 😁 The coins are beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Oh Autumn these are beautiful! I knew this would be a dangerous video for me 🤣 For many years I solely used the I-ching after an ex boyfriend introduced me to it. But I put it aside a few years ago when I realised that there were tarot decks out there with art I could actually appreciate and connect to. I might have to pick it up again if I can find this deck! Those black borders though 😬 might have to find a way to do away with those. Thank you 😊💚xXx

What a beautiful connection & wisdom you have dear Autumn with the 'I-Ching' energy & your treasured coins you found while travelling in China - just beautiful. When we built our home I came across a large decorative 'I-Ching' concrete / sandstone coin & it is in my garden patio. Also I have '3 x I-Ching' coins with a dragon design woven with red ribbon. I had an 'I-ching' card & coin set for many years but only recently gave it away - it was too complicated but the 'Visionary I-Ching' cards you have shared with us are really beautiful...& so intuitive on so many levels & perfect for journal & writing inspiration. Those cards have a beautiful energy just like you dear friend (I just may treat myself to the cards) - thanks so much for sharing your knowledge & wisdom with this lovely 'I-Ching" energy - blessings & happiness xx
@@stillnessinfiretarot Hi Autmn Mystic! Deste cards are it's own system - different than Lenormand and that's how you read them -I love that! Maybe you could make more reading cases, so we can learn more. I like the card spread in video too, I tried it and it gave me very accurate answer. Thank you :).
Tarot is nice i use it for more elevated spiritual questions it was made for more esoteric purposes, Lenormand is good for ordinary fortune telling but Deste is my favorite deck to use because it was specifically designed with folk style witchcraft in mind and the nitty gritty of life as you put it! It is its own system and I feel like it offers the best of both worlds and certainly more than lenormand; It does have the basic lenormand cards but not all of them some are different and those that look the same have different meanings and on top of that it has 4 horse cards, 4 elemental cards, 4 jinn cards, 16 court cards and 2 Goddesses that represent two forces! Its a full package of divinatory goodies that gets down right to the meat of things. I especially love the inclusion of Jinns in this deck, Often times viewed as fiery demons but in the deck also portrayed as wisdom giving spirits, you can’t find that anywhere! And the court cards being Sultans instead of Kings, Sultanas instead of Queens as well as Princes and Princesses for which i don’t know the right equivalent word maybe Pashas? But overall its definitely my go to deck so much so i ordered a backup copy of it because its so hard to get outside of Greece and Turkey! And i can’t imagine being without it if something were to happen to a card 😆 The oriental ottoman imagery just sends you in another world!
Autumn Mystic I’ve been using them for half a decade now and just can’t get enough my hand goes straight for that deck, Its very rare to see others using it not many (or a majority) don’t even know it exists!
