It was a free picnic in the park event, open to all. As you say "it is what it is", A nice afternoon out, listening to Buddy Holly songs and those from that era. A great performance from Spencer Jordon.
I've watched this on...maybe...25 computers/phones over the last ten years? What a live performance, what a setting, what a night. RIP, Glenn and John. 🪕
Only been into the British bluegrass scene since last year and saw this band at Naseby. One of several bands giving a fantastic evening of bluegrass. If you get the chance to see this band I suggest you snap up some tickets pronto. 😊
We had the great pleasure and honour to have played at the same event as Pete. He was a brilliant entertainer and mind blowing musician, so good to see these posts, thank you so much for posting. I believe that Pete also taught banjo in Nashville, how about that????? Sadly missed Pete, we lost you far too soon.
I remember my dad setting up his reel to reel tape recorder for me to record him with a mic,off the radio on shows likeSide by side and Saturday club.when I was 7 through to 9. "Press the play and record button together and stop when he finishes" dad would say. Wish I had those old tapes. Lorne(Eric Brown) was my uncle , one of my dad 's 5 brothers. We'd go up to Edinburgh and stay at my grans for new year and have parties where he'd sing when he came up. I remember singing All my loving by the Beatles while holding his guitar ,sat in the middle of the room at one party at my great aunt Gracie's. Good memories.
Prayed for a sign from my angels and as I was deep in meditation I heard a voice say "Play a song by Kathy Stewart" ... I had no idea who this artist was first time ever discovering this but it was the first song that popped up & the lyrics are so relevant to everything I am feeling right now. I knew an angel had lead me to this song. I feel blessed to have heard this beautiful cover.
He was the love of Tanya’s life . I don’t think she ever got over him. Unfortunate that the drugs & lifestyle hurt the romance . But as far as talent , they were great as a duo !!
