The transmission that they come with I feel is a flaw in the design the internal gearing could be a lot thicker and mashed a little bit tighter so that they would last longer
I almost exclusively run Surpass Rocket or KK series motors with Hobbywing ESCs.! The 4092 & 4082 ones are awesome in my 1/8 & 1/7 RCs, I've had similar speeds to what your getting no sweat.! For what I want they can't be beat on value, durability & performance.! A 3660/3900kv motor & a WP-SC8, 120 amp, 4S ESC only costs around £70/$80 for both in the UK & is perfect for 1/10 & 1/8 short course trucks & monster trucks, I've also had 60 mph out of my Hobao GTS without it getting too hot to run.!!
Nice build, I got one myself now did the tummy tuck an half cab and wrapped in high gloss blue pearl. Could this truck handle 6 inch tires or would it be too large and decrease crawling ability?
Hey David! I have the Heng Long Hemett 8x8 & when I go forward the reverse alarm goes off & when I go in reverse the alarm doesn’t go off. Could it be a wire that’s in the wrong place? Thank you for your reply!
How do you prevent spur gear from getting damaged, mine with a 10.5 T brushless motor damaged the spur gear, the spur gear is 64p with 96T, and the 64p 40T pinion, my spur gear after just a few turns all the teeth wore out, please help me How to adjust so that you can run with a 10.5 T engine.
How's this motor been in the long term bro? I'm looking at getting a 4282 2150kv rocket rc motor for my Fireteam or Kraton exb and was curious your thoughts on it? Are they any good? I have a 3665 rocket rc motor and seems pretty decent. Also gotta love how us guys think...."And I can also gear it up!" As it's already insane! Lol 😆
Nice build, I just got mine in the mail. Bugger, though, I have to order transmission & mounting plate and 4 link center punkin front axle. Because the SCX10 ii I have has a pan hard 3 link offset punkin portals and the motor hits the side by a mile.

Its the esc bud you need a xlx or xlx2 for true speed runs you will always geta vilt cut with that esc a a single 6s 5200mah you need around 10000 mah to give your car plenty of juice to pull from
How long did the queens hobbies motor and esc last i just ordered an ebay setup that says queens hobbies on it and a blank esc soooo ordered it hoping its a decent system but my guess is ill have to buy a different esc
A lot of the smoke is caused by user error by a lot of time over gearing putting a lot of stress on your electronic speed control or not enough amps for the weight of the vehicle
You are not able to control the car in That speed. Why is the top speed so important? I think it is very childy to put a GPS on the car for testing the topspeed. Dont you understand That you make a fool of yourself?
You are able to and RC thin speeds as long as your aerodynamics aright and your inputs are small and very very calculated I've just been handling these things since I was a child and it's gotten easier over the years. 🤛🏻✌🏻
