I've installed many fluidmaster fill valves over the years, and the LS, to me, is a step backwards. I believe I've always used "A" series, and the 1 LS I've installed just failed over and over because of the plastic chain floating into a little crack at the base of the buoyant plastic "bell", which prevents it from rising. Wish I had saved the receipt for that thing. Replaced after a week of continual failures

Tried this, just get a trickle when I take the cap off the valve.
@FluidmasterInc
@FluidmasterInc 18 дней назад
A trickle of water coming thru the opened valve means very low water pressure or debris is caught somewhere in the water line and or valve. We suggest removing the water line from the fill valve to check for flow. If no flow or very little pressure then work back to the valve on the wall. For further help contact Fluidmaster’s Technical Services at 800-631-2011.

Maybe this should be made more obvious… it’s not exactly uncommon for this to happen and everyone just replaces it mold some twisty arrows into the cap maybe? I’m an engineer, and couldn’t figure this out, who would think to twist the cheap plastic thing? I took off the black cap and there was no obvious entry point. A single molded counter clockwise arrow would have been extremely helpful….

Installed and we still have water running into the bowl. The tank has shut off from filling. We notice a decent flow of water going into the bowl still. What did we do wrong? Thanks for your help!!
@FluidmasterInc
@FluidmasterInc 26 дней назад
The valve you installed is not defective. What you are hearing is the “Water Waste Signal” and it is telling you that the tank water is leaking down. If you do not see water on the floor or on the outside of the tank, then we know that the water is leaking into the toilet bowl. Here are a few things to look for A) if you have the refill tube shoved down or placed inside the overflow pipe pull it out and reattach to the overflow pipe using our refill clip. This will stop a siphon from occurring and stop the leak and B) Clean the bottom of the tank along with the drain seat that the flapper sits on, if you can’t get the tank to stop leaking with a new flapper then it might be time to change the flush valve. If you need further help, contact Fluidmaster’s Technical Service Department as we are available Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM through 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. I wish this video was a aLOT slower and without fast music. My toilet is a right hand side mount on a tank with diagonal sides. I cannot seem to get this product to work properly. Instead of pushing down, I have to lift up to get it to flush. I Am installing the through part with the “Top” words pointing up. I definitely wish it worked correctly. I tried every combination of spinning the through part and still can’t get it to work. I saw one come it says that you have to take the through part part and then put it back together upside down in order to make it work correctly. I’m going to try that next I have installed lever arms in many other toilets that are front. It takes me like two minutes max This one I worked on for four hours trying to figure out what was wrong with it. It’s not like I haven’t done this 1 million times already, but because my tank has an angled side arm, this is the only one I could use. Please make more videos installing this product and slow way down on the instructions. Also go over possible problems with the product manufacturing as stated in the other comments. Many people have trouble taking the nut off. some people I’ve seen in other videos of this. have installed the arm upside down in order to make it work .

What size is the supply line into the toilet?
@FluidmasterInc
@FluidmasterInc Месяц назад
The water supply line for a toilet will be determined by the length needed from the angle stop to the bottom of the toilet and the coupling nut size for the angle stop. A Toilet Supply line will already have the correct coupling nut size for the fill valve under the tank at one end of the supply line. An easy thing to do is if the label is still on the older toilet supply line it will tell you what size the angle stop is along with the length of hose. So you can purchase the same size and type. For more information visit our website at fluidmaster.com where you can chat with an agent / send an email / read reviews and product information or call us at 1-800-631-2011.

Fluidmaster would like to provide help. Here is a quick tip that may help with a newly installed fill valve. When the fill valve will not turn off, this may be caused by debris that came into the valve from your water source or supply line. To fix this problem flush out the valve and rinse the master seal (instructions for this are in your installation guide in the troubleshooting section). For your convenience watch this video: www.fluidmaster.com/toilet-repair-videos/flushing debris. My flange sits even with the floor. Followed the video and it's still rocking after nuts are tightened. No idea what to do from here. Also the spacer was to much even with the flange even with the floor.
@FluidmasterInc
@FluidmasterInc Месяц назад
Fluidmaster suggests trying the spacer first to ensure a proper fit, if it does not allow the bowl to sit flat or has a gap of more than 3/16ths so that the toilet rocks back and forth, then remover the spacer and use the non-wax gasket by itself. In some cases a single gasket may not be enough and a second gasket needs to be stacked. For additional questions on this Fluidmaster product contact us at your earliest convenience. I have a flange that's even with the floor. With the extender, the toilet bottom does not touch the ground and rocks a lot. Does that mean the seal is too high because of the extender or am I suppose to sit in it and smash it flat with force?
@FluidmasterInc
@FluidmasterInc Месяц назад
The reason Fluidmaster suggests using the spacer first on flanges even or slightly below the floor is because some toilets may have a different recess under the toilet bowl. We have found that most toilets will have a 1/2 inch recess to allow the toilet bowl wax and non-wax products to fit, however, toilet manufactures can make the recess deeper. Fluidmaster suggests trying the spacer first to ensure a proper fit, if it does not then remover the spacer and use the non-wax gasket by itself.
