"Seems to me you're just plain scared." "Yes." That's what makes Dr. Loomis the smartest character in any horror movie ever. Not just scared, but prepared and ready because he knows what he faces.
Samuel Loomis though your patient can speak chooses not 2 when he drives off with the ride that ya plus Marion were going 2 transport him 2 court in he in way is like nice try doc/old man!
The cinematography, score, dialogue, setting, colors, the pacing etc is brilliant, it’s so creepy and eerie, this is what a horror movie should be, you don’t have to have gory deaths, just a simple yet complex story that is haunting and chilling. Love this movie
This whole speech is terrifying. It’s the most chilling dialogue I’ve ever heard. Donald Pleasance was a master. Such a underrated actor. God rest his soul.
With all due respects this isn't the best scene in Halloween atleast to me it isn't and I'm a big fan of Loomis aka Donald Pleasance RIP etc but I still believe it's a few better overall scenes and scenarios to those who disagree to each it's own 👌✌️
The music playing was supposed to be the original and I like it better than what they came up with It's scarier to me The bells DING DING ....DING DING...DING DING Gives me chills!
This scene and Donald Pleasence's monologue embodies the entire theme and lore that John Carpenter originally envisioned. No other horror movie describes the threat of an antagonist like Halloween. Many have tried, none sends chills like this scene and dialogue. And the fact that he's talking about him when he was a child, and the fear the he STILL felt around Michael is incredible. This is why David Gordon Greene's BS trilogy is trash. He didn't understand the lore. Michael as Dr. Loomis said, "was not human. He was, purely and simply...EVIL."
I would've thought so too considering that a horrific and brutal murder once took place inside that house. I personally think that Dr. Loomis and Sheriff Brackett were brave for entering that creepy house especially since Michael could've been hanging around there.
It’s always goofy to me how loomis shows off his gun permit, being that Illinois didn’t get concealed carry until 2013. Loomis should’ve been arrested on the spot
I am a independent flim Director, I've got plans to redo this movie with regular people not actors and without lines, just natural talking on most scenes. It's a dream I know money is no problem. It's in the early stages right now. But I would flim in October in an old town in Massachusetts in the fall in a actual house, not a sound stage, also some sceens in a old Massachusetts cemetery.
The first two were amazing terrifyingly dark psychologically scary especially with dr loomis back story on the evil psychology of Michael and the supernatural element that he wasn’t easy to kill. And sadly the recent quick money taking of the last 4/5 movies including the last two have been a disgrace, lazy writing, zero concept or care of even understanding the character of Michael and backstory, and completely disregarding the supernatural element of his evil. Halloween Kills and end’s could have been amazing.
Michael is a Myers and Middle name is Audrey ... anyone else feel like Michael was a son of a single mother who got married into the Strode family Michael Myers was also portrayed as Laurie strode's younger brother if he was 6 in 1963 then in 1979 he would have been 21 and laurie was 19 .... Am I Crazy Or is it all there
