Even when I larped this was my most used weapon lol. Its so underrated that most people dont expect it. Im still training to be a minister but damn weapon is so good, most people expect swords and spears but a good flail works wonders, ive won many tournaments with it.
You know an old track is good if you can just use it almost straight as the main bed in your mix and it still truly SLAPS. Great lyrics and drum + FX added. A true remix.
Love either one handed or two handed flail, cool that you're trying to use the old manuals to practice techniques, but i think your staff portions are bit too long if the artwork is any indicator.
Could you please tell us where you got the flails or how you constructed them? Especially in regards to the joint, did you use a metal loop or leather?
I think you may be approaching this all wrong. First of all, forget the extra handles and put on some high friction gloves. Next, shorten the pole a little bit. Momentum is not key here and not every swing has to be perfectly accurate. After that, think of the pole of the scythe as more of a shield. It can mainly be used for keeping distance or pushing people off their balance. Now, add more twirling motions to your attacks. This way, if you miss, you can spin around advancing a bit to at least hit them with the pole. Keeping adequate pressure on your opponent as to prevent them from advancing towards you, pull back sharply to deal a crippling or maybe fatal blow. Blocking will only be a last resort but the fight Wil mainly involve dodging back and finding an opening to lock your opponent's weapon in a position that they can't move from. Oce you lock your opponent, the fight is most likely ended in your favor because if they try to withdraw their scythe, it will either get caught on yours or on the ground so they won't escape the blow.
I find it very interesting how simular longsword is to japanese swordsmanship, yet, for some reason, alot of people are hellbent on arguing one to be better than the other. Good video.
FUCK YOU GUYS, SCYTHES ARE HELD BY THE HANDLESTICK,NOT LIKE A FUCKING MINIGUN FUCKING STUPID PEOPLE THESE DAYS,EVERYONE FUCKING KNOWS THAT SCYTHES ARE CRESCENT BLADES ON STICKS OR IRON POLES,AND THAT THEY DONT HAVE THOSE WEIRD MINIGUN LOOKING BULLSHIT HANDLES. EDIT: Also,that is not how you fight with a scythe,you can't kill someone by hitting the handle on them,try slashing with the upper side of the crescent,or wrap the crescent on the part of body you want to cut and pull the whole scythe towards you
