Thank you you are a very talented Artist. I really enjoyed watching you, I don't do Acrylics, I do Oil painting and I would try this in oils! Thank you again!
My favorite painting! Absolutely love it ❤ Not sure what it's that I love so much - the colors/beauty but maybe also the "space"? The open space surrounded by not only the plants but the blue ocean with its depth maybe. Either way, I see why you painted it twice and the second time, on a larger canvas. What's surprising to me is that it's not as hard as I thought it was going to be - so far lol (I'm almost done) Maybe because I'm painting it on a larger canvas then what I'm used to...? But you definitely explain things clearly and show us at a pace that's not so overwhelming. Thank you so much for sharing such a gorgeous painting and allowing us to be a part of it. 😊
Thank you for your kind words and support! I am glad you are enjoying the tutorial. I was actually thinking about doing another underwater scene in my new format with my improved recording equipment/setup (see my more recent uploads for an example), as this video is quite old at this point. Stay tuned! :)
Thanks! There are hundreds of them out there nowadays, but the one I primarily use is called Playground. I have a paid subscription, but you can use it for free as well. It is just more limited with the free version.
I am so sad ..ATM i ruines my fur first acylic painting. I put varnish on it and all the colors blended...i dont know why maybe the paint doesnt dry enough..😭😭😭😭i dont know if there is way to fix it.. i am so upset..
@@PainterInYou i didn't only i make some retouch in the morning. I thought this afternoon it is dry already. I am so excited to varnish it. And it ruined. Is there any way to repair it. I feel sick. Because i do it for 1 monthto look real and alive. 😭😭😭
I am new to painting water and new to acrylics. This video was very informative. I have review it more than once and also took you advice to start on paper/
Ugh, I know. Looking back now from when I filmed this video years ago, I do wish I invested the time studying that initially. Hopefully anyone following the tutorial can make slight modifications to the rigging on their own as a final adjustment. Check out my newest tutorials, where I am instead recreating AI generated images into original paintings. It is nice because it takes out all of the guess work!
I love this video. You have explained it very nicely. I have a question. I have one patched coating of glaze on my acrylic painting. Can I do the second layer with Liquitex satin varnish? Thanks!
After looking at your wave 🌊 lesson I've looked back and observed the see pics I've taken It's now given me the technique and I'm able to see that in the pics It's amazing how it suddenly pops out and I can see the waves more clearly Thanks it's been a great help
Very beautiful! I do wish the sky was less green and more of that vibrant yellow next to the blue but that’s just a personal preference. And I know it’s hard to blend a yellow right next to a blue without making too much green. I’ve discovered a few techniques to help avoid that. But anyway, the painting is still great and the rest feels very serene and peaceful. You are very talented. Thank you for sharing! ❤
Yes, after I do a painting, I always look back and think about what I could have improved, and I probably would have put less green in the sky, and even perhaps a little more orange mixed with the yellow...more similar to the reference image. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Oh boy...it has been sooo long since I made this video that I don't recall. They likely were from Michaels. Lately I use pallette paper instead for easier cleanup. You can see this in my new videos I recently posted, in my new format, after being away for a few years! :)
I did not use any type of slow dry medium or retarder. This paint does have a smoother consistency compared to other acrylic paints I have used and doesn't tend to dry as fast either, so it is quite easy to work with. They are "student grade" paints, but I am very pleased with them. I have left affiliate links in the video description to the exact paints I used in this video if you are interested in trying them out.
Do you paint 🎨 from your own imagination 💭 ? Just wondering 🤔 I have only used reference photos twice in 30 years I’m working on one right now from photo of Italian streets it’s been fun to try and get done ☑️
I often do, but with the development of these AI image generators, it has opened a whole new world of possibilities on ideas of subjects to paint. I find this to be an excellent way to get around "painter's block", when trying to come up with ideas, and also makes for easier tutorial videos for people to follow along.
