Another example of leaving a democratic shthole takinf away peoples rights durinf covid to a republican stronghold. I will say though that its NOT a small town lol
I love living in Cedar and have been here for around 6 years. Unfortunately, California's horrible political decisions and policies are forcing their “woke” voters to our wonderful town. I'm afraid of what that means for the future of our safe and conservative city. We can expect a rise in the crime rate and a reduction in property value over the long haul if the current trend continues. Nevertheless, it's still a great town (for the time being) and is surrounded by lots of natural beauty.
That is not what I want to hear. We are looking at moving to Cedar City and not from California and one of the things that we liked was that it is a conservative city. May have to rethink this.
@@swassociates 😂 I knew there would be a hater if I shared this ONE story about some amazing buyers that made the “initial” part of buying a home smoother. And of course, all you heard was that I opened the door for them. You didn’t hear about me ensuring their earnest money was protected. You didn’t hear about me ensuring they didn’t overpay. You didn’t hear about any of the leg work that took place during the due diligence process. You didn’t hear about any of the liability I take on by representing someone through the purchase of one of their largest assets. Don’t use an agent. That’s your choice. I wish you the best of luck in that. I don’t blame you for not using someone you don’t see value in. I wouldn’t either.
On a drive cross country to California I had to stop at the nearest place for an oil change and a hotel for the night. Ended up in Hurricane Utah spent a full day there waiting for the oil change to get done. I enjoyed it , very pretty city and the people I met were way more friendly than I thought they would be and I’m a person of color. I expected overt racism but I didn’t experience that.
If someone wants to go this route, will you help them get the right builder and will you go through this with them until the closing ? Having a realtor will it help those that are way out of the area trying to get this process done? I guess I’m wondering if a person went this route of custom, do they need a realtor ? Thank you soooo much for putting this video together 😉Look forward to talking soon.♥️🙏
I'm glad you found it helpful. Your Realtor can help connect you with a builder and lender. They will also help you purchase a lot, which will have a closing. Once you are working with a builder, they will take you through the home building process. However, if you are building new construction and it's not custom, you are likely working with your realtor until closing.
I just found your channel. Wonderful information! We are definitely interested in re locating to Cedar City in a couple years when we become empty nesters. We have family in Hurricane but we prefer four seasons and aren’t crazy about the two seasons of hot and mild.
Sounds like Cedar City is perfect for you then. I love the mild four seasons. Please feel free to reach out anytime! I'd love to help you. Elizabeteh@LivingInCedarCityUT.com (435)477-6740
If you are thinking about moving to Cedar City. Don't. The locals are sick of y'all. The infrastructure is not designed to hold all the people coming from all these states. Please stop.
When I visit America, I would love to meet you 🤗 ... and maybe you can help me with my moving plans in the next couple of years 😊 ... my name is Candy ... pleased to meet you (even though I've been following and commenting for a really long while now) 😁... I love your drive through videos of St George and Cedar City the most, as well as your 'eating out' videos too (nom nom 😋🤭) ... you have a great channel 🥰
Is Cedar City dog friendly? I am thinking about moving there and my dog goes with me everywhere here in Vegas (not a service dog). I'd like to connect as I will need a realtor to make that move.
Hi, Cynthia. I'd love to help you. Feel free to reach out anytime. (435)477-6740 or Elizabeth@LivingInCedarCityUT.com Cedar City is dog friendly in the sense that I've pretty much seen them everywhere except in restaurants. However, I will say we lack rentals that allow pets.
What is the restaurant scene like in St George? My wife and I are foodies like most others and like to have a good meal and drinks. We’re not nightlife people, more of a sit at the bar of a good restaurant type. Your videos are great, we’ve gotten a lot of great information from them.
I'm glad you've found the videos helpful. We are seeing more and move restaurants come to town, offering a lot more variety. It's not Vegas, but there is plenty to try before you get tired of them.
We are bless to have a place near the top of Cedar Highlands subdivision. It’s beautiful year round but gorgeous during the Fall. Unfortunately, during the last 10 years, there were lots of retirees from California bought and built there and brought their attitudes with them. Hopefully, they won’t destroy the tranquility and charm of the place.
I moved here 5 years ago. I wish your video would have been around back then. I wasted a lot of time looking for houses blindly (based off of price alone) because I didn't know the area that well. If I may add, I settled in Little Valley of St. George. Great area to raise a family and great schools. I loved the summers for the 1st couple of years but now, St. George is getting pretty crowded and the summer heat is getting more annoying. Now that my kids are grown, I'm moving up to Kanarraville. Less crowded, 4 seasons, and 15 degrees cooler. I'll end my days up there with a smile. I love southern Utah. I'm not LDS but I love living amongst them and I even go to church with them once per month for communion and fellowship with my neighbors. Thanks for the great video. You nailed it!
Thank you! I appreciate you watching. I'm sure you've seen the area change quite a bit over the last 5 years. I left Vegas for the very reason you're making the move to Kanarraville. I'd love to help you wit your move if you don't already have an agent helping you. Please feel free to reach out anytime. (435)477-6740 or Elizabeth@LivingInCedarCityUT.com
@@LIVINGINCEDARCITYUTAH I already own 70 acres up there. I'm going to start building next year. If I do ever need a local realtor though, I'll definitely reach out!
Can you do a video one of these nights of the night skies (the stars) in cedar city? I've watch alot of your videos and also subscribed to your channel, I think cedar is a beautiful place and I'd love to move there one day.
@LIVINGINCEDARCITYUTAH thank you, no rush. Being born and raised in henderson/vegas you know how these city lights aluminate the sky at night here and the sky isn't dark so we really don't get to see all the neat things in the sky when it's dark. Again thank you.
Utah national parks and forests are spectacular but the rest of the state is dull and barren. Architecture is very bland and sterile, I'll take Chicago or Boston any day!
