Hi from Japan! Just picked up a R6 Race for 2023 and started on my track build. I noticed you have the Akrapovic full system without the lambda sensor in the bung port. Are you just capping of the bung port with a bolt or do you indeed use a wideband lambda plug? I'm not sure if I'll need one or not. My bike comes with the GYTR wire harness and ecu kit so I don't need to flash; however, I may need to adjust some fuel ratios and cam timings a little. Do you see any issues running with out the lambda sensor? Thx.
Thank you for the kind words. I can't remember the exact one I used anymore but it looks identical to this one www.amazon.com/Extreme-Max-5001-5811-Minimalist-Wall-Mount/dp/B08KGQCLR2?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1
Thank you for the kind words, Yes you are right, i was trying to balance the increase in rear ride height. Some from the tires, and if I remember correctly, some from the preload adjustment. Cheers
Hey nice bike and congrats on the new laptimes. Im trying to get back into mc racing myself, and recently picked up a 17 R6, that I am currently building. I have a few question, like what brand fairings did you go with? Did you bypass the abs and use 09-16 R6 brake lines, and did you buy the dongle from ftecu? Did you lose the traction control? What size rear tire and what combo softness front and rear did you find worked well for the heat.
hi friend. To answer your questions: 1 - the fairings are custom made by a local fabricator 2 - The ABS is bypassed and the lines are custom 3 - I did use an FTECU dongle 4 - Traction control still works but i disable it as it is illegal in my race series 5 - Rear tire size is 180/60. Which compound works well depends too much on too many factors but generally speaking the softer compounds will perform better and will not last as long. I have used both SC2s and SC1s and to me the SC1s perform better
As a potential purchaser of the Andreani cartridge system for my Ducati 900SS i.e I found your video and articulate thoughtful comments on the forks very informative. Thank you Kevin. I think you've swung it for me.
I have two Airoh helmets- GP500 road and Aviator 2.2 dirt helmets. i love them both so light!! But after nearly having a mental breakdown trying to take out the lining on the Aviator 2.2 without damaging anything I vowed to never remove it again. Now I didn't even try to take out the inner lining, I just submerge the whole helmet in detergent, wash, rinse and let it dry. This is more relevant to the 2.2 dirt helmet as it gets more mud/dust etc than the road helmet and therefore requires more maintenance=.
Thomas Biader you specify rider weight when you order then they supply the appropriate spring. Unfortunately I did not take note of the actual spring rate they gave me, sorry
@@KevGoesRiding thanks but you bought and install without problem ? Because for supermoto the cartdrige is short i think . I have a lot of problem with air and i want to resolve with this kit.
@@thomasbiader3022 Not to worry, if there is even a difference in height, it is not noticable, either visually, or to the handling of the bike. There is zero installation issue. I am certain you will like the kit very much
Hey capt, I finally got the answer as to why it had been so long since I last saw that R with Shorai sticker ;). I too blew my R engine at T14. Guess it’s time to head back to Japanese bikes. Good luck in MSBK although I think that would mean 2021 season for you. See you at Sepang soon!
Yes you are right but the cartridge still works and the overall height did not change. Or at least it did not change enough for me to notice any difference
You can go faster in the last corner if you brake earlier and not trail braking at all. Just brake earlier and take an earlier apex and gradually take the bike as wide as possible on the exit. Most Malaysian racers i'e zulfahmi & adam norrodin does this and they are very fast at the front straight
Ayush Sharma overcast or in the morning its still ok but its absolutely terrible in the afternoon heat on a clear day...my exercise regime used to be just weight training but now have added 2 sessions of 1 hour cardio per week
