Jaw Relation Registration in Completely Edentulous Patients: - Check trial denture base (TDB) to be free from wax - Check occlusion blocks for extention, retention & stability - Check lip support and facial contour - Apply labial wax for proper support - Check incisal & occlusal plane parallelism - Create bilateral V notches not in the same plane - Draw midline and 2 canine lines - Mark two lines - Measure vertical dimension of rest (VDR) while patient pronounces letter "M" and calculate vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO) - Remove wax to reach VDO - Remove 2 mm after reaching VDO - No touch between trial denture bases posteriorly - Place index fingers on the buccal shelf & train the patient to bite on your fingers - Soften 4 mm wax & apply on the lower wax rim - Ask the patient to bite on your fingers posteriorly - Remove guiding planes - Check centric relation (CR) repeatedly - Draw midline, canine lines & high lip line - Check VDO - Seal both occlusion blocks - Ensure no touch at the rears Facebow record and mounting on articulator: - Apply Vaseline to wax rim - Attach to bite fork by means of soft wax - Adjust midline with bite fork - Attach the nasion relator to the cross bar that all joints are loose - Insert upper occlusion block with bite fork attached to it - Ask the patient to support with the thumbs - Assemble the ear pieces in the external auditory canal, nasion relator to the glabella & the fixation set to the bite fork - Lock the screws of the fixation set - Loosen the central lock screw & the nasion screw - Remove the facebow and transfer to articulator - Replace mounting ring with fork support device
Amazing video. After searching for the entire day, I found a video that actually taught how to design. I wanted to request u to teach tilting the cast when needed. How do we know when to tilt
Cast should be soakec in water before duplication 120 f 10 min upside down and than no standing watet on the cast.If the cast is dry it will influence dimensional stability of the hydrocolloid.
