A combination of it being the smallest item in all of the sets, and the effect being a similar colour to his ambient particles and other effects it just ends up blending in from above, unfortunate and probably the least best Frostbloom in the game. It's at least reflected in the price.
How come your sand king claw's have different effect then one from steam market? Is there something that has to be done in order to get them shine like yours, and if so , what are the steps ? Thansk
Each unusual has three different types, but they are all listed on the same steam market page. It is dumb, broken and lazy, but it is how valve did them. You need to search for the Frostbloom quality unusual on the same steam market page, you likely have Candy Caster type. steamcommunity.com/market/listings/570/Unusual%20Claws%20of%20the%20Frostbite%20Dunes?filter=frostbloom This is a link to search for that type specifically, but also - people can use Description tags to make their candy caster show up on this list. So you must purchase one that has not been edited.

working on it, but the items this time are not marketable or tradable. I think they will change this in 14 days because they sometimes release chests with "tradable in 1 year" tags and change them after 2 weeks.
These effects do not use Ethereal/Prismatic gems. They are another system entirely and basically use "Quality" settings to differentiate effects. So you cannot modify them in any way. They cannot accept new gems and none can be retrieved.
People might hate me but for me this unusual (together with dragon's hoard, effects are subtle) is ugly and messy. Hopefully they will stop, bring back infused effects instead atleast the effects are consistent with their respective set.
I think all of the dragons hoards are bad, but not offensively ugly, the gold drop for example is very inoffensive because it's so subtle, same with candy caster. Neither are good but they aren't offensive. Frostbloom is only really good because it's so visible and in your face. It honestly looks bugged half the time, which is kind of cool. But I can understand why that can seem like way too much. Snowdrift is fine, it's probably about as far as these unusual should go, it's inoffensive but still noticeable.
They weren't tradable the same way as the patch before, and valve inadvertently broke source film maker in a patch at the same time so I'm not able to make the same video I did with Frostbloom the same way. None of the unusals are any good, to be honest with you. So I'm not that bothered about making a video but if I'm able to, I will make one as soon as I can find a method for doing it.
hate valve when they update the snodrift. it feels i was scammed as i bought them on early days for $20-$25 dollars each. i reason i bought them because of the dark ambiants but now they changed it to lighter ambiant. fk
From a probability perspective it’s very intriguing. They clearly have different opinions on how they operate the treasures between the different teams of people working on each event.
My interest lies within the actual loot box mechanics, rather than the items themselves necessarily. But valve has made these new items unviewable in game before purchase so I think people want to be able to see information about them.
If you could post the Armory inspection screen 360 degrees and the in-game demo, with the low to the ground inspect camera view also I would make a video about them. It's very interesting, they're extremely rare. You can post it unlisted and comment here, or publicly or add me on discord.
There's a few from people who have unboxed them, but not more than one or two in a single place. I'm going to release a video of every set and every effect like I did for Frostivus. It just takes a lot of time.

For clarity - where I say things like "so they have the plausible deniability to say they were there all along" I'm taking about the implications of their actions to the regulators who ARE paying attention right now. They're making it seem like they're following the rules set forth by certain countries and doing the bare minimum to try and keep regulation at bay. I'm not saying that Valve are going out of their way to state these things, but those are the implications of those actions. Also - for some reason it isn't possible to view the content of steam pages on way back machines, etc. I am trying to gather receipts to collate all of the times in the past that they have pulled this move, editing odds into old posts.
You're welcome Valve was so lazy with the non-gameplay part of the Frostivus patch. It's idiotic that someone had to make a video like this for people to be able to see the items in game at all.
Candy caster is garbage. Don’t waste your money on it. It is barely visible in game if you even know what to look for. No one will ever notice it on their own.
Sorry I can't get these working in game with other items. You have to mod the vpk to get it to load in demo at all it's too much work. Hope this is enough to decide :)
@@user-vg3th4xt2v That is true but they have been the same price since the first week that is all. Price is same since December 19th, has not gone up since Dec 19th. I just think Candy Caster and Snowdrift as 75% discount instead. Steam Market needed seperate listing pages for Snowdrift, Candy Caster and Frostbloom but valve was too lazy.
I really don't have the patience to get this working in game. This is really the best I can do, hopefully it's useful enough to know if they are items you want to buy or not :)
Yeah I can't get any info on the couriers buddy they're impossible to find. The courier has a 1: 100,000 drop rate so it's hard to think how a single one has been unboxed as unusual with a 0.3% chance on a 0.001% drop - and to be Frost Bloom is 1:3 so it's a 1 in a billion drop chance. The unusual courier is a 1:30,000,000 drop. It's nuts that a single one exists. I honestly can't believe one exists. If it does they have tweaked something with the odds because it is so improbable it's as good as impossible, regardless of many chests have been opened, one in a billion is as close to statistically impossible as makes sense.
Pudge hooks do not show effect when hooking tiny set is broken in game. bat rider isn't out yet. Arc Warden item is bugged also - the particles lag behind the hero and is enemy client sided meaning it leaves a trail. I would not play with this item, and Frostbloom is worse. skipping candy caster effect because it's shit don't waste your money on it
