Please my 2006 Gs 300 awd burns oils I mean it’s all normal I haven’t seen any leaks but I have changed the oil twice in less than a month because the oil was so low
I used zip ties to hold my oil pan up. Last year when I replaced the pan gasket. But I may have still done something wrong. Because now my seal is leaking.
Thank you Soo much for the help and easy instructions. Please wear your seatbelt no matter where you drive.I was in multiple wrecks in the past that weren't my fault. My seatbelt saved my life.Take care buddy👍🙂
Best explanation I've seen. The cutout PCV really solidifies understanding. I was only looking for a refresher since my classes were in the 90's, but got a really deep understanding of the system. Wish my teachers cared this much. Thanks for the effort.
I watched a video where Chris Bruno replaced the rear main oil seal in his LS6 powered Chevrolet Camaro before I replaced it in my 2002 model Holden VY SS Commodore which runs the 5.7 litre Chevrolet LS1 V8 engine which is Australian built. I bought the seal & carrier gasket 8 years ago because its easier to fit the seal when you're lying on your back at home & replacing the rear main oil seal because it's easier to take it off the engine then fit the new seal on a work bench. The gasket was also brittle as well & it's also a leak point on these engines,I just fitted the seal plate & sealed the mating surfaces on the oil pan gasket with RTV silicone sealant then I fitted the 8 millimetre bolts finger tight then I rotated the crankshaft a couple of times to centralise the oil seal then I tightened up the 2 long 7 millimetre bolts up after torquing the 8 millimetre bolts. It hasn't leaked since & I have also replaced the oil pan gasket since I needed to remove the oil pan to do a timing chain replacement in the engine,I loosely tightened the oil pan to transmission bolts up so they were just finger tight first prior to torquing down the 8 & 7 millimetre oil pan bolts about 6 years ago then after I torqued them up I tightened those oil pan to transmission bolts. The engine hasn't leaked for about 6 years but I did have to replace the valve rocker cover seals again this year because they were leaking oil 5-6 years after I replaced them, the bolt seals just go hard & brittle !
Very clear explanation! Now I just need to know how to diagnose it so to avoid being a parts replacer. I don’t mind working on my vehicle if I can fix it right the first time.
I have an 89 Jeep YJ with an inline 6, 258 engine. I switched over to electronic ignition and ditched the PCM. Many of the sensors/valves had already been removed or disabled before I got the Jeep. My question is can I just have to small hose from manifold vac going straight to the charcoal canister and a line back to the carb without and metering? And if not, can I just yank the line back to the carb from the canister and leave a vacuum pull through the canister to vent the gas tank? I’ve watched your PVC video as well and think I have a question about that as well, same situation, not PCM control, but I don’t think that one needs one. The 258 engine had all sorts of convoluted hoses, one way valves, and what not on it.
i had the opposite issue, think it was after getting a plug in my tire and getting a get throttle body, could be that my tire pressure was lower than needed be but finally getting accurate odometer and speed, but now getting tire/axle ratio out of range it's weird. ECM was replaced and completely reprogrammed a year ago around same time but was about 1 week after the throttle body was swapped.
Some vehicles seem to slurp engine oil out of their PCV valves and some are dry. What design elements, or operating conditions, tend to make some PCV systems produce an oily mess in the intake manifold and ports?
Point me in the right direction please, I got a 99 v10 6.8l ford. Bank 1 valve cover got the pcv valve, bank 2 got the breather. Bought it that way but feel like it’s wrong?
2008 Town Car. Thank you. I looked at the manual but couldn't find anything relevant. The oil change guy said he did it, but he didn't. You came to the rescue.
I feel so gutted right now. Nissan says this is a 8 hour job. They have to replace the entire subframe. I just spent a ton of money on my cv axels and now several more thousands?! Gonna drive it until it kills me.
Nobody tells how the Intake after MAF is pushed / sucked in and it actually pushes the Blow By Air back to Intake and actually is Metered - Great thought to Explain this . !! make more videos explaining the Concept rather then fixing things / stuff. Your way of explaining concept is Great - focus on that please
