Good job, I like this design. I suggest a simple improvement. To each of your height adjustment nuts, weld a bicycle sprocket, then above that a simple spoked wheel of maybe 200mm diameter. Connect the sprockets with a chain and you can then set your height from either end without having to count spanner turns on each end.
I like this design. It is simpler than others I have seen, requiring fewer bearings, yet it is strong. I also like that it requires adjustment in only one axis and that the bearings are somewhat protected from splatter/grinding debri.
This press has worked like a charm for my projects ru-vid.comUgkxajoEbapTfqWaadnqb04h6U576yxXp-FE . I didn't even secure it to my table top, mainly due to the fact that I was using a 15 lbs drill vise. It's not flimsy at all as to what others have claimed it to be. Make sure the locking nuts and levers are secured and there won't be any issues with light pressure and patience. I was able to drill through aluminum, plastic, and steel (steel took a while) with no problems at all. Yeah it took a little longer than a regular drill press, but I don't have the space OR the money for one.The instruction manual was worthless, but luckily assembling the press was intuitive. However, the manual would be good for ordering replacement parts if needed. There is a nice breakdown of the parts that are included in the kit. Before ordering, make sure it is compatible with your unit, it is clearly stated what models the press is compatible with.This was an excellent purchase for $40!!
Хорошая вещь!)Я бы только соединил сверху подъемный механизм, чтобы одновременно равномерно поднимать -опускать пилу,а не тратить время на регулировку.Можно и маленький двигатель с понижающим редуктором для этого
секрет в 2х винтах не для эбли а для выставление двух точек в плоскости например левый поднял правый опустил и выходит ровный парралельный рез !!!!!!!! и так далее !!!!!!всякие регулировки !!!!!!!

Рез параллельный чему?Если стол(база ) в уровень выставлен параллельно оси ,по которой ходит каретка,а резать,как правило, нужно нечто равное по толщине на всю длину реза.То есть,считаю, один раз выставить обе стороны на касание к станине и так зафиксировать, чтобы опускание-подъём шёл параллельно столу, какие ещё регулировки вам нужны??? Каждый раз крутить регулировать по очереди?))вот поворот каретки под угол,да, иногда нужен.Обычно делают привод, например,соединяют оба винта вертикальной подачи, например,цепью приводной именно, чтобы синхронизировать опускание относительно плоскости стола
@@winwin-hj4jdс 6:40 в ролике ,вот зачем эти все манипуляции? если бы на винтах были звёздочки, соединённые цепью ,то крути один винт ,а второй соответственно будет крутиться цепью, осуществляя подъём-опускание равномерно
Liked the whole assembly except for welding the bolts. IMO some CA glue would've been all that's needed with no heat distortion and easier bearing changes in the future.
