Kerr lake is my home lake!! Love it when the lake is in the bushes! There is some BIG FISH in there! I’m so happy that bass master opens was back on kerr
Ranger is history. That name has been pissed away to Bass Pro. Vexus is now what Ranger was in the ‘90s and early 2000s. Ranger (Forrest Wood) started it but it’s over!

I love the attention to everything, They really think and plan for the everyday user! Didn't like the camera work though, Out of focus, and had bad camera angles! was this done for radio?
Kieth...I was aghast when you at 32:45 banged the top rail on the boat being assembled with you wedding rimg!!!!! Come on man - paint mutilation before that boat even leaves the factory is not acceptable! Being harsh on ya but you should have paint mutilation protection for everyone working on the boat (belt buckle protectors, ring protectors.....) or just visiting the assembly area. Hope you take that suggestion to heart make your fine product the best it can be leaving the factory. Sincerly, a Fan of your product!!!
Awesome video! I wish I had a Vexus. I wonder if they'll ever do a carbon fiber hull? That'd be a lightweight and fast boat, but probably too expensive.
Man, someday I want a DVX 19, its way more affordable than the 21, Dont need a 400 motor at all, but damn Idk if anything Rivals how nice and How high quality Vexus really seems, maybe a Caymas but these are so insanely nice.
Great real video Chad! I know the feeling well, as we all have gone through the same crap.. lol. It used to eat me up so bad that I would jump back in my boat after fishing all day and go back out their and practice my hook sets or whatever it was that caused me to not put those big ones on the scale.. it helped me a lot in two ways.. 1. It helped me on my fishing abilities!! 2. It allowed me to put that to rest so I could get some sleep.😅😅😅😅 Otherwise I'd be tossing and turning all damn night, reliving those nightmare moments .. 😅 Wish you well on your next next one Chad.
After watching this, makes me want a Vexus VX model even more for my next rig. I'm older now and would rather have the ride and quality of a Vexus than the speed of my older Triton. Great video!
I thought about a Vexus as my next boat , but when they refused to get a boat to Ken Smith for his great bass boat search I dropped them from consideration. Every other manufacturer supplied one and his critiques are incredibly detailed.
I wish these boats were in my price range. I got excited when i saw the seating in these boats. Im disabled from a spinal injury and want to get back on the water and i bet the suspension seats would be a comfortable ride!
Somebody really dropped the ball on the pad design on the back of the boat obviously… Good friend of mine has the 1980 model with a Suk 115hp that slow as pond water weighing 2200lbs… His boat will not turn at top speed (40mph) WILL NOT turn… Absolutely ridiculous…. His boat is 15 months old and the hull has split on the bottom as well, and not even in a weld.. Y’all are in the process of building him a new hull now… SMH 🤷♂️🥴 This issue is just one of many he’s had with this rig in the last year.. Guys, go get one if you want too.. If you fish once a month you might be ok for a year or so.. Seriously
Just got my ranger 1880MS. Will be looking to see if vexus can live up to a name and compete with a name like Ranger. In a few years ill be lookin to get a 622 or a vexus DVX 22.
These boats have been out for 3 years now and it's on my list to check out in a couple of years, when we retire to Texas. Here's my problem. I have seen all the boats and read and listened to everything over the past couple of years, but in non of it is videos of the VX20 or 21 in rough water conditions with trailing seas, etc. That's what I want to see.
My thoughts as a guy that spent 20 years turning around failing/struggling dealerships or installing best practices into stores that just needed to grow is that Ranger had a ton built up unexecuted innovation. My guess is that due to Rangers financial status manufacturing efficiency was prioritized over innovation. Johnny Morris loss is their gain. Well done
Watch the bullet boat factory tour on RU-vid they build a hundred boats a year how many did they build up there Chopshop inconsistent just like Phoenix Phoenix is built in the same plant they used to build Bumblebee before that Hurst junk
I agree with the quality, the light weight and the high tech way of building, however truth be told you cannot call your boat fast! She is a girl, built for comfort not speed! Lol good video. Thx!!
I certainly hope you will open a dealership in the South East Michigan area. I want to buy one of your boats but the nearest dealer is 200 miles away. Lake St.Clair is a market that should not be overlooked.
