One other method.....take out battery... close battery door. Turn on camera...try to take pictures for a few minutes. This is supposed to drain the internal circuits from stored power and let the camera computer reboot. Basically the same idea as sitting overnight, just quicker. Saw a video about that method too.
Thank you! Tried taking lens off and on, new sim card, charged old battery, bought new battery. Nothing worked until following your instructions...everything out, next morning started working.
@@Yyourself mine was on a very different firmware (ver. 4.0.2 004B(1f) before the update as it is a sample unit not a retail one. I don't know if you can help me fix that
(422 like now)To be honest, I sent my camera to the company's service center and they told me it could not be repaired. It is very old. It doesn't have a motherboard, so they called it junk. In fact, if I didn't watch your video, this good item would have been wasted. Thank you for giving life to my camera.🙏🤝
This was my lastresort...I woke up today thinking that it would be solved but nothing happened.. Since my camera stopped at all on a summer day photo session and woke up after putting it in the freezer lol...just sent her back again there. Meanwhile I have the 90D since January 2021
3 Years Later And You Help Me Out , I Just Wanted To Point Out For My Camera It Was The Memory Card That Was Mess Up That’s Why The Camera Didn’t Come On , I Figured This Out By Putting The Same Memory Card In My Canon 5D Mark 3 And It Did The Samething But After Changing The Memory Card Both Camera Work Perfectly.
Thank you for this video!!! The problem on my Rebel T6 was that the lever (the microswitch or what you call the PIN) is not making contact with the bottom circuit when closing the battery lid. And so, this microswitch is actually staying up to the side rather than in the little in the rest position for the door's tooth to push it down (I assume). Again, your video shows the actual image of the micro lever and how it supposed to look (I assumed it was broken at first, but after digging the internet for an image to verify the way it supposed to look, I noticed that it's only bent??. Thanks again. The cam comes on, but I haven't fixed the problem yet. The clarity of this video on that lever helped understand. What I did: - Put in the battery and the memory card, turn the camera on (and leave it on).. THEN, push the pin down. This will show the screen on or a light to verify fit is the PIN the root of the problem. ----- -Screenshooting your video (on the microswitch) and tagging the part name for factual details could help route viewers here. The lighting on it is good! Take care! "Canon Rebel T6 camera"
This worked for my old rebel xt, removed the lens, battery, CF card, and CR2016 battery for a couple hours. Then put it all back and it turned on and started working! Many thanks!
MY Eos M100 Wont turn on after i do my first try on china dummy battery and DC Core. Please somebody help me, this camera is meanful to me and my wife. i done with reset sd card, replace sd card, take of the lens, clean up lens conector, push and hold limiter switch on SD card & Battery deck, connect to computer, recharge battery, different battery. it doesnt work. help please i have no budget to repair this on camera service center. please repply my comment.
This is the second video I watched with the same solution. I simply don't understand why you can't put a plastic lens cover on the lense and a plastic cover on the body? Perhaps that should be tried before leaving it open all night?
Nov2020 - This tutorial just saved me... After doing a shoot at the beach today, my canon rebel t6i refused to turn on. After watching this vid, i left the camera with the sd card an battery compartments opened n also the lens mount. After few hours it worked like a charm. Thanks man🔥🔥🔥🔥
