Note to self: Blood supply to the basal ganglia is primarily supplied by the lenticulostriate arteries, which are branches of the middle cerebral artery.

The whiteboard diagram is a little off because the left half is connected to the right brain and vice versa.. You have the blue left connected to the left brain.. Still makes sense but in general this is incorrect.. I have left homonymous hemianopia and my right brain is damaged..
