I always take "leaks" with a huge grain of salt, but in this case I would be very cool with Switch 2 looking like those images showed. A bigger, better Switch is exactly what I want for the next system. I appreciate Nintendo innovating and changing the formula in the past like with Wii and DS, but they really found a winning formula with the Switch and I really want them to stick to that but, you know, with better specs and stuff.
I mean I was definitely expecting something heavily akin to the Switch, but I'm not really much of a specs guy, I was thinking/hoping for some kind of distinguishability. Like even DSi to 3DS, or hell DS to DSi for that matter, have a clear distinction, you can see just by looking at it that there's new features this was built and designed for. If I want to play a processing power heavy game I have regular consoles to go to, I go to Nintendo for unique games and gameplay that I can't get anywhere else. I like Skyward Sword, I think the combat with the directional sword controls is way more engaging than anything BotW or TotK have done.
That’s fair. Skyward Sword is my favorite Zelda game as well, but it had nothing to do with the sword control, more with the story and puzzles. Sure motion factored into it, but that wasn’t the reason I liked it. I feel like as long as Nintendo can continue to iterate on game within their IP and and still find fun and unique ways to engage fans through them, doing it on a switch style system for another generation, they’ll find ways to add new features and mechanics I think. To the point of going to another console for some games, lots of people don’t have the luxury of multiple systems, so I’m all for having more power and having more games come to switch and not needing multiple consoles to play the big 3rd party games. @@Trentendo Oh absolutely! The controls aren't the primary appeal, but I think they're a lot more interesting than they get credit for. And that's generally where I'm at, I wasn't, like, upset with the design that was leaked. Just a mild disappointment that leads me to just be comfortable with my Switch as is for the next gen or so. I'm still interested in where Mario is going, but I think Zelda is leaving me behind unfortunately. I don't care for the BotW formula and with Echoes of Wisdom seeming to take that route as well I think that's my official out on future Zelda titles. So yeah, really what I got from this design is "I'm happy to watch from afar for a while"
I would be happy. I was worried they would add some over the top weird gimmick. I like the if the design isn’t broke don’t fix it. Larger screen, better specs is perfect for me!
part of me feels like it won't happen until sometime in January at the earliest... Nintendo knows if they reveal it before the holidays and don't plan to release it until sometime in the first half of next year then that will kill all their holiday switch sales... but then again who doesn't have a switch yet that ever wanted one? so it might happen!
I still think it would be interesting if they went with that one "leak's" name. The Switch Version 2, it could even be stylized as Sv2 which would be neat.

Hmm, interesting. I figured they’d hold off a bit on the next Direct until they were ready to announce their next system. Unless this Direct WILL be the Switch 2 reveal, which would be really exciting. Or do they still have more Switch games to show? I wouldn’t have expected that, but, I’d definitely be happy with that too.
Just got announced for tomorrow. Feels like they're going to announce the last of the 3rd party stuff and probably get a Switch 2 reveal in a month or so since the Direct got moved up to this month instead of September. But hopefully we'll have something soon!
He would definitely go feral and eat whatever moves. He would desecrate every site of even mild importance and break everyone's pots. Pokemon wouldn't need to learn cut because he would do that instead, along with water fall. And he would clip/glitch flight. He can break rocks. People would fear this elf. He'd be smart enough to have more than six at a time, all Voltorb, all with instructions to explode upon release. He wouldn't even capture the Pokemon he likes, he would arm them. He would terrorize the country, destroy the economy and ruin the environment, all while giving people ptsd to the sound of, huthut or hey listen. A true menace to society
Ok ok. I actually watched the video. Yeah, Link would not be kind. He'd make himself a ditto mask, Blastoise shell shield, keep some exploding seedots, battle a syther for swords. He'd keep a rapidash as a mount and a miltank for milk. So yeah only three or so would survive in his party.
switch 2 already ? i still save up money for switch lite for 2 years now, never had a console in my life, but i hope i can buy switch lite this year or next year..... im in my 30s now, but i hope i have atleast one console before i die..... i hope .......
I will say im fine with riding out the switch until next year. Yes i want the switch 2 like anyone else does but at the same time i just feel this growing impatience with content creators cause they know "oh no switch 2 no nintendo content therefore no views therefore i cant pay my bills" and this then leads to entitlement which ive seen some (not all) nintendo creators turning to because of the wait we're having for the next console.
I get that sentiment. I do this as a hobby rather than a source of income, so I’m more worried about getting it and having fun rather than “no content”. I haven’t made a video in a while till the last few weeks or so because there hasn’t been much that interested me to talk about, but hopefully, even if we have to wait a little bit, I would love to get some sort of update. @Trentendo oh yeah, i agree. Getting the console is the most important thing, and plus, it's a hobby for me, too. I just hate it when youtubers think that Nintendo must adjust timings or schedules just so they can earn some more ad revenue.
