is there signage for the entrance now? Just off cabin? going to go check out the official this weekend. I only remember going down some janky section then a logride to eventually work my way over to it.
Yea that whole trail that was used to access the original trail has been combined into one trail with an obvious entrance off Cabin. Log ride has been replaced with the metal bridge at the beginning. It's definitely different than it was before but a huge upgrade IMO. All the rock lines are still there
@@MINIMALmtb I rode it today. It was okay, Kind of an odd mix of berms with the tech, its like the trail is unsure of what kind of trail it wants to be lol. I also think it was a combo of it being so greasy and im just out of practice with slow tech LOL plus my ebike is long AF 🤣 Im too used to the fast steep dh stuff. Cool variety though. I'll give it another roll in the summer once its nice and dusted.
Hey there - I commented a couple of days ago on some Revelstoke trails and now I’m in Kamloops trying to figure out if there’s any videos of the place closest to me. Is this video on the same hill as “Shorty” and “Dirty Lips”? I had a great time riding Dirty Lips this morning, but can’t find any intel… you know the trails I’m referring to?
Different zone. Those are fun trails though! The zone you’re referring to isn’t on the official maps. This trail is at Pineview, a little more xc style but still some great descents.
@@MINIMALmtb yeah, Dirty Lips was fantastic! Any footage of this area or recommendations from rides you’ve done? Are you on Strava? I’d love to check out any routes you’ve done in this area…
@@EverydayMTB09 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LTPMocUrLZU.htmlsi=Z6cLqcdz4b8bL-Fm That's the only video I have from that zone. Those trails are so fun! I need to ride Kamloops more often. Thanks for watching! I don't have a public Strava but maybe that's something for the future
Bummer you skipped two of the best parts. That final wall is what really gives this trail its legend status, hopefully you will ride that in the future.
Yea it’s cool how many alternate lines there are on this trail. I’ve hit all of them over the years. Will definitely ride it again and switch up the lines at some point
Looks great! Do you have to go through CBC to get to the beginning of this? I haven't ridden that part of Seymour and Trailforks show Pinch Flat Alley as one-way towards the parking lot.
Pinch flat is basically a dirt road so you can definitely go up it to get to Cabin Trail if you don’t want to go up to CBC. CBC > Cabin > Cambodia is an amazing tech lap though!
After watching several of your rides I’m convinced you’re the best person for me to watch, because I think we are the exact same rider 🤣… thanks for the great videos to prep me for my BC rides here in Revy then Squamish…
This looks fun - I typically do Marvin or Manhandler but def going to ride this next. Climbing trail is so tough (IMBY) - feels a lot longer than it is LOL.
It's super fun. IMBY is tough for sure but all the upper climbing trails have had a lot of work. A few times I've parked at the Powerline Road gate off of Eagle Mountain Drive, it connects right onto the fire road so you don't have to do IMBY. I think Fortis might be doing construction in that area currently though
The thing to do with IMBY is just to commit walking it without trying to bike. Saves you a ton of energy, and according to my strava it's only like 2-3 minutes longer than if you try to ride, but you end up a lot fresher at the top
For the most part yep! Alice Lake zone is a bit more pedally, so you can add on extra trails pretty easily. None of the climbs in this zone are too steep and some go through some really nice forest
TBH I'm not sure. In the past there weren't any signs but now there are a number of no trespassing and private property signs over the mountain. There are also some official trail signs in spots so it's confusing. It's a fun mountain so hopefully it stays open and accessible!
Different than the OG Delta Watershed one but still a fun little trail. It actually opens up some different start/end points for Burnaby Mountain rides
Dale's is the trail I got my first MTB injury on (twisted ankle), so ever since then when I ride it I feel like I'm jumping in the pool with sharks haha. That said it's a really fun trail once I get past the certainty that I'm about to die.
@@bengordon2330 I think it's probably possible. It was definitely close but the driver was shaking his head so I gave up 😆 Maybe with lower PSI or something
