The contraposition of Young and Fine is Old or Ill. I'm old enough but not ill yet. How about you? Any way a nice upload with the best possible sound quality!
This song is very beautiful with exceptional audio from this equipment, now I just have one question about this album, which was released in some countries as a double album and in others as a single album, I thought it was great.
Irving Green was my cousin. I have a huge collection of Mercury Long play records at 78 . It’s played every July 4. Independence Day. I’m so proud to have found this page with the details and insight and confirm for that this is the one that is played every year
I really like this! There are points that reminded me of Clarence Gatemouth Brown's late 70s output. Trying to find a copy of this on vinyl or CD seems to not be so easy, though.... Thanks for posting!
6 years later, but looking to get a GOOD P-mount cartridge to upgrade the AT LT121 with elliptical stylus that is currently on my Technic SL-QL15. The Ortofon OMP40 is next to impossible to find these days, but sounds very good. However, I really do like the sound of that LP Gear VS, especially on the "pop" video (I listen mostly to power/progressive heavy metal, but I also do listen to a lot of classical). Also, the LP Gear cartridge is at least more readily available for a somewhat "reasonable" $200. I think I may have found my upgrade, thanks to these videos and a bit of other research.
The LPGear cartridges are really good. My OM40 was actually an OMP10 cartridge with a stylus 40 replacing the 10. But in all honesty the extra expense over the VS is barely justified. But both enable these Technics parallel trackers to sound really good.
@@MusicAndVinyl I went and pulled the trigger on the LP Gear VS cartridge. Now to await its delivery, hopefully within a couple of days it will arrive. I'll have to report back how it sounds on my rig.
@@MusicAndVinyl Received the LPGear Reference VS cartridge and it is definitely a step up from that AT LT121 cartridge that I had on that Technics SL-QL15 linear tracker. The clarity, and the dynamics are just incredible. Also, much fuller bass as well. I've tried both classical pieces and power/progressive heavy metal. This copy of Stravinsky's "Firebird Suite" that I have just sounds so dynamic and detailed. I immediately noticed a difference when I changed out the cartridge to the LPGear one. Throwing on Immortal Guadian's new one (on red/black marbled vinyl, even) "Unite And Conquer" just blew me away, the second track on side A ("Echos") is such an incredible song. Yup, definitely found a keepr!
I just died and went to heaven while I was listening to one of my favorite albums of all time in this video. Amazing sound even with the youtube lossy compression.
Thank you for sharing. I'm loving the space. Very purpose built for enjoying music to a high degree and sharing the music with the world. Very well done! I was kind of hoping for a shot of your cartridge stash, haha kidding but I was imagining it in a custom built titanium pelican case :)
Thanks for your comments! I'll have to post a pic of my pelican case (made of Valerean Steel actually 😂) of goodies. I'll let you know when I get round to it . . .
great reproduction as always Bob. to be replayed on a proper set up to hear all the effects and have a super playback. listening on a yamaha integrated amp 75 w per channel, on klipsch r8000f x 4ea and a klipsch 15'' sub, cranked way up and the music sounds great. looking forward to what comes next... cheers.
Which speakers do you use in your videos ? I have not seen any information in this regard . It sounds like the usual modern "HiFi" mainstream staff, not like very fast and dynamic livelike fullrange speakers....
You don't hear speakers on my videos as I take the output from the phono amp direct to my analogue to digital converter and into my computer. I then replace the audio captured by the camera with the directly recorded audio. But the speakers I have are PMC floorstanders - you just don't hear them!
I'd like to return to LP, if I had the same equipment as yours. Anyway, quite a beautiful performance with the perfect keyboards by Chick Corea. Thanks for the nice upload as always!
Ok,i listened to the 1812 song, and it was a lot of fun! Which version of this do you prefer? Telarc or mercury living presence? And which one sounds the best and has the heaviest bass without distorting and overpowering the mids and highs?
