I'm from Cleveland. Every time we go to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, we all put Al in the kiosk for potential future inductees. Please send them messages to let them know that Al deserves to be immortalized in music history!
Excellent documentary. It highlights the not-often-talked-about concept that this is the music BUSINESS. So many bands start out with the "we are a family" mentality (which is a good mentality to have), but once discovered, the "BUSINESS" part starts to take over. People think that the ones who create and perform the music would be the ones at the top of the paycheck pile, but that's more often than not, NOT the case. That's why I'm happy that, in this modern age of the Internet and affordable, good quality home studio gear, that the opportunity now exists to bypass the "music businessmen" to get your songs out to the world. People keep saying "rock is dead," "Indie is dead," "(insert genre) is dead." You know where those rumors come from? From the non-musician leaches that bled the industry from the inside. All those genres are still alive- they just moved to platforms where they have more creative control, keep more of the earnings, and are generally more happy. Look at The Warning, for example- three sisters from Mexico that started as kids on RU-vid, getting ready to release their fourth album, have full creative control, and have opened for Muse, Guns n' Roses, Halestorm, etc, and blew the roof off of MTV's MVAs last year without even being up for an award. They did all this by largely side-stepping the "BUSINESS" side of the music business.
One of my favorite artists of all time. I have a little pop doll of her on my makeup desk. I look at her and I try to remember the talent she was. I'm so sad her life ended the way it did. I miss her!
The entire music industry is demonic. None of this surprises me! I don’t listen to any of this garbage demonic music. Of course nobody helped her these people in this industry don’t give a shit about anybody. Look at all the stuff coming out about Diddy and EVERYONE knew!
NO ONE can possibly look after an addict for 24 hrs, Amy Winehouse is the only person who should have that awareness of taking a serious rehab to rescue Amy Winehouse!
She should've had people around her, in those last 24 hours. Someone to tell her, no Amy, put that drink down! It's not going to help you, its just going to make things worse! You can do this, YOU can get sober! I'll be here to help you, you won't have to do it alone.. remember your goals. To be a wife, to be a mother.. you can still achieve those goals. But you won't achieve those goals, if you keep drinking! I love you! PLEASE don't do this! Maybe if someone had been there to tell her that, she wouldn't have died..
Being a drug addict feels like you become a completely different person, your psyche is still there but it’s not attached to you because you’re someone else. It’s so weird.
I've heard Billy Joel's music since the seventies and Beyond I just got to wait for the next rock music to pop up on the radio and just get through it he's good at what he does it's just not something I listen to

This documentary is absolutely incredible. Throughout all the trials and tribulations, I've never once doubted Michael. Despite the teasing from friends, my unwavering support for him has remained steadfast. He continues to be my ultimate idol, and his impact on my life is immeasurable. Michael, your absence is deeply felt, and I miss you immensely xX
It was so obvious on her last gig, that Amy was crying out for someone to help her, and take her off the stage. Instead her dumb backing singer laughed, as she stumbled and fell! That guy should have picked her up, and took her off stage to sleep and get medical assistance. Amy was an AMAZING TALENT, who unfortunately pressed the self-destruct button, and became too dependent on drink and drugs, which ultimately took her life. RIP 🙏🏽💜
