Man... the water clarity was way different on the Chemung than it was on the NB! Good job. Considering everything going on, I opted to leave the go pro in the Jeep, and I've been kicking myself since.
@@BillyKayaks I still don’t pay attention to anything around me buddy. Plus we’re up there so much it always seems to be packed w kayaks and boats. We definitely need to hook up soon and hit walnut. Smallies are biting good there now
Gts from Australia 🇦🇺. Very well done , I built a cart for my Viking Profish Reload 2 years ago . Very similar construction, heavy duty . The lower shelf I used yellow tongue & groove floor sheeting for kayak gear storage ( with a Laminated gear check list , no forgotten gear ) top I used 90 millimetre pvc pipe to match hull chimes so it sits even & doesn't scratch , yak held down cam lock tie downs . Mistake I made was my first caster wheels were not strong enough for the weight. No nails used. Paddle / peddle safe mate 👍 😊
It’s a long drive, but worth it. Staying in the Thomaston area made it easy to scout the Flint River. They actually have public ramps. Not like Ohio where we just park at the bridge 😂
@johnnyrebel3340 That's what I did. It doesn't matter either way. The strap isn't made of rubber, so it wicks the water into the car regardless. However, it being on the other side prevents as much water touching it.
That's Muskie fishing.... as they say, want to catch a Muskie, go fish for bass! I've landed a handful of Muskie, always when bass fishing... when I go out for Muskie... I'll get follows on occasion, but never seem to be able to get one in the boat! Last one came on 8lb test on a 4" worm!
Nice!!! Where did you launch for the first time in the Susquehanna? I live in pa but not sure where to put in for my first time kayak fishing the Susquehanna.
Thanks for keeping it real BK! They can't all be highlight reels (its important for novice anglers to realize this). Oddly this has inspired me to start shopping for a musky rod. I'm 20 min to a musky lake and have an OT autopilot 136 so not sure why I havent considered this already.
Ha! That was me (to your east) when you were stealthily landing that 18"-er in the harbor...like a ninja. You were smart to be quiet. I totally would have camped that spot longer had I known your were landing fish there 😅. Well done!
I like it. I use all 3 rod storage on each side, too. Only issue I had was after upgrading the Ketch plates, I needed to add some stainless washers to the front on each one so the pedals would clear.
Glad to see some new content from you! Good job at Mosquito and thanks for being the crazy one willing to go fishing with me while getting ready to go fishing. 🤣🎣🐸
I also have a 4 door altima. About how far from the front/back window/windshields do you place the bars? The further away I space them it does not look "flat". My assumption is once I load a kayak on there it won't really matter but I dont want the kayak pointing "up" at all (front bar looks higher than back bar when I put it on there). Altima is a 2022 model but they don't appear to have changed much.
