Wow Ellen - so many amazing pieces 🤩 I love the birds, and all of your sgraffito bowls - everything was just perfect 🥰 I have signed myself up for a small market on the 20th July 🙈😱 I’m getting nervous lol
Thank you Laney! Oh wow! I know that feeling! Nervus ! You have beautiful pieces! So you Will do fine! We know what to say to each other, now we have to believe in our own art!😊
Wow! What a great kiln load!! Lots of really great pieces! I love the bird!!! It’s so beautiful. The bowls are great as well! Good luck with your upcoming sale!!
Mooie en succes volle kiln opening Ellen. Je enthousiasme is oprecht en zeker niet voor niets. Je items zijn wouwie 👍 Meer en veel leuke kleine dingen voor je markt sale. Heeeeeel veel success. En we horen het he? Groetjes Sheila ♡
Hey, Ellen! Love the sgraffito birds! Your doodle heart, Turquoise, and sunflower bowls are very nice! Love the 'Dutch style' mugs. That's always a challenge when I come to the Netherlands!...finding a big cup of coffee!😅😅😅
Good morning Ellen. I drank my coffee while enjoying your kiln opening. I have that same problem with the roughness of the clear glaze over underglaze. I was happy to see that you had much smoother and shinier results with more coats. Good luck with your show on the 30th. I’m sending positive thoughts your way my friend 😊
Oh thank you Diana! I have a dipping glaze so I did them again by dipping longer. I am really looking forward to Tomorrowl! One more glaze kiln to open😊
@@Ellen.s.atelier harde les Ellen. Dit gebeurt je niet nog een keer. Maak je je oven wel goed schoon? Want het zit overal tussen...... ik weet dit nog van de community oven waar ik eerst bakte....
I’m so sorry you were so lonely at your sale. I’ve had sales where I didn’t sell a single item. It’s heartbreaking but it does get better!!!! I love the way you do your scrafitto. I’ll definitely be trying this. I’ve done scrafito before but used stroke n coat and the colors ran. I tried it with a dark clay under white slip but brushed the slip too much and they became muddy but they turned out ok. I honestly don’t think you need the really expensive tools. Especially if you like the way things are turning out now. They are such an expensive tool.
Ellen these are amazing!!!!!! I can’t for the life of me do this myself and I love seeing pieces that people make!! You should be so proud. Have you heard of paper clay? You make it with the clay you use and use it to fix pieces that have smallish cracks in them. It would work great for the first case that has the small crack!! It works really well. Also if throwing plates is hard for you have you tried using a slab on your wheel? There are tons of videos on how to do it and it’s so easy I can do it! Hahaha
Hi Ellen 👋 oh I love everything 🤩 I really love seeing the bisque firing because I am always so excited to see the change to glaze it’s so magical 🥰 have a wonderful weekend of glazing x I am going to be making a memory box for my sweet dog that had to be put down recently, I will store his ashes in it 🥰
Loving your scrafitto work!! I made a few of the worms as well and they are so dang cute!! My favorite are the balls!! They are really nice! You have a great variety for your market and I just know you’ll do so well this time!!

I love how you used River Birch over the texture on the dark clay. Looks excellent! Love all those little bud vases. I would try the river birch over the carved animal ones, I think that would look really good.
@@Ellen.s.atelier I really think they would sell really well for you. The carving and the design are excellent and I find a lot of people like that minimalist color palette. It matches almost every kitchen in the world. I'd also love to see that river birch with the turtle section still being green on some. You'll have to update me on what sells the best at your market.
Wow!! Your garden flowers are soooo gorgeous!! I need to make some for myself. I wonder if you could make each layer of the flower separately and then glaze them and stack them in the kiln then when they are fired they will stick together. Thats how alot of people make larger pieces. Please have more faith in yourself!! These are beautiful and we are always learning I have seen you for so much just over the time you’ve been making videos. Love your work.
Ellen, such an honest video. We all have struggles for sure. I was happy to get to know you a little better. I’m amazed with how your art is progressing. Sgraffito is definitely one of your gifts 😊
Thank you Lisa! Yeah I think I am progressing too, sometimes amazed too see what I make😅 I love scraffito, so I am exploring what Else I can do with it
Oh Ellen, I wish we lived closer and I would have come to support you. Always let others help you- it is not an imposition, it helps you and them ❤. As far as the market make what you love and variety is definitely good. Something of all price ranges. My motto is something for everyone 😊

Hi Ellen, what a lovely catch up - I love your sgraffito it looks so fun 🥰💕 I have only done one market and I was the same after it - so drained - I did make my whole family come with me so I did have them there at least. I hope that your next experience will be a much nicer one 💕
I love Groningen! I had a beautiful day there. We also did a quilt crawl while we were there. It was so nice. Of course, you have so much history in the Netherlands, so the quilt show was in old churches and Windmills. It was great! Take care, Ellen!
Good to hear the health care in Canada is also good! When I hear the americans I feel sorry for them. I Will stay Well, I try to take good care of myself, Well learning that😅
Having your garden next to the farm is AWESOME! I love that part of the Netherlands. You get the view and no work! You fit a lot in your little pottery space. Mine is small too!...but it's MIGHTY! Thanks for the tour.
Yeah I love to see what we get every year in our extra garden😅 and definately love the no work part! I do have a little space and need to do Some more work but it is my happy space❤ it is an old shed and when the time is right I get a nicer one but for now it works great!
Joh Ellen, prachtige omgeving! Mooi plekkie jouw atelier. Snoepie van een hond, hij is een lieverd ❤Leuk filmpje, dankje voor het delen. Groetjes Sheila 🌸
