It is true that strong men can be beaten black and blue by their abusive wives regularly. It is less common but really happens. Abuse does not know any gender, it only knows control.

I wrote and directed a full-length drama (“Tulips”, also on RU-vid & Podcasting platforms) exploring why there’s so little support for male DV victims & the way they often get stonewalled. We got a sh*tload of resistance & I found out later that the last attempt at this (“Men Don’t Tell” in 1993) was pulled from the main airwaves for similar reasons. 28 years later it’s still too taboo for some people.
Showimg a man prepared to give violence is not the right message shame on you. For not actually not understanding domestic abuse. From a dad who had to flee dv with his two daughters. From his abuse female partner. Hang your heads in shame that boxing seen un called for.

And should bend your head in shame. Also my daughter who is 10 years of age. Who was 4 years of age at the time we had to flee from her mother is still. Recieving counselling 5 years on thats how badly its affected her. So yes i very well understand showing ant sort of violent acts on a domestic abuse. Is very very very wrong REGARDLESS.

But did i lift a finger to hit her NO! SO it's NOT ROCKET SCIENCE TO WORK OUT REAL VICTIMS DONT WANT OR SHOULDNT HAVE TO SEE ANY FORM OF VIOLENCE being attached to any charity or documentary it gives the wrong message and it actually deters people reaching out. My son didn't and yet the woman pressed false charges against HIM after she punched herself in the face and lied to the police saying she was the victim. Now he's facing a felony. It can happen even when you don't fight back.
checking through your phone is abuse, stopping you from going to friends and family is abuse, forcing you to have sex, stopping you from going to work, accusing you of cheating, watching what you spend, basically controlling you os abuse, blame the victim for every thing

To speak up would be politically incorrect. All domestic abuse is quite complex though. Like why does it happen? Why do some men end up with wives and girlfriends who do that to them?
