Robins daughter and girlfriend will be needing those gifts now in some areas of England as it’s not exactly warm (here in Wales it’s more like winter than Summer).

Nancy, lovely video. The kits and the bag are fantastic. I need your help. How do you block a sweater knitted in the round? Thanks in advance.
@blacksheepknitting7905
@blacksheepknitting7905 8 часов назад
Thanks for your question. I block sweaters in the round by folding them, washing, toweling and stretching on a blocking mat to dimensions. I will ask Nancy to follow up with a more in depth answer on one of her upcoming podcasts.

I have knit a Ranunculus using a suri and a fingering. I knit on US 8 needle for a denser fabric with long sleeves and I love it. I have not knit a Love Note as the lace is too open for me and I don't like to have to wear something under my sweaters for modesty. Personal feelings about how I like to wear my knits. I have seen many beautiful yarn choices for both patterns. Are you still carrying Miss Babs or was the blue mohair left over from the trunk show?

I loved that podcast as usual. First time that I have seen Robin!!! Hi Nancy. So lovely to see you, as we hear your voice behind the camera all the time. Lovely cardigan. You know Nancy, it just doesn't matter whether you forget bits and pieces - I bet no one watching this podcast thinks anything bad at all, as it is also happening to most of US....just doesn't matter a bit. I just think you are fabulous being able to sit in front of a camera at all. Thanks for all you share. 🥰

I agree with all of the tips - would like to add another. Learn to read your knitting - can be very helpful for finding and also fixing mistakes. Also I’d emphasize that deliberate practice is very important for maintaining even tension.

Love the tips. Perhaps you’d like to choose a few like: knit everyday, don’t be afraid to make mistakes ( I tell my husband when I have to start over that I’m getting more use of my yarn😊) and put them on your website. Love the Rios kits. I live in AR & sometimes a cowl is very useful.

You are so right about teachers. In addition to shorter summers teachers are often going to summer school classes to improve knowledge and keep their accreditation.

I love all the tips that were given especially the knit everyday. It is so surprising how often projects get finished by that discipline. I am so thrilled about the October KAL. It warms my heart to see the support by fellow knitters for those of us who are battling breast cancer! Thank you for another great podcast.

I'm making the Wina Shawl right now. After the second shell pattern I thought the in-between rows didn't have enough interest for me. So, I added 2 rows of YO, K2tog. I always have less stitches at the end of these in-between rows (mistakes with the YO rows). It's only a few stitches so I just add them back before the next shell rows. Can't notice a thing😁.
