Why do all the youtube videographers use the same effects/techniques/transitions? And why do they call footage b-roll when it's obviously their a-roll? 😜 All jokes aside. I'd encourage you to try and develop you'r own handwriting (you got the eye and feel for timing!) because that's where you can shine, not with getting close to what everyone else is already doing. Also you don't have to kick half of your stuff out of your showreel every other year because trends feel fresh at the moment but they age very badly imho.
