I remember doing this when I was like 10 and hated it. I regret leaving and wanna get back to it remembering the experiences I had going to tournaments. Might go back to it soon
I have my black belt test tomorrow so I’m just reviewing these briefly Of course I’m not the best at sparring and form but it’s pretty decent. I wanna try to slightly fix it up a bit if I can before the test and this is helping a lot (Also considering that I get a memory slip in 5 and 6 this helps a lot ty)
I’m about to go into a really important test today and there are so many bits and details that I really need help practice with so this video is really helping me out
All these ppl here being like "ooo boutta get my black belt" or they're like "oh yes I got black belt at 12." And here I am at age 19 only just about to get yellow. I could have already been yellow or even yellow/green but I couldn't make it to two of the gradings this year. Also I'm like actually trash, spar against me and you're guaranteed to win. The instructor also said I'll always look awkward because I'm tall ;-; But, even tho I'm like the worst, taekwondo helped me have a really nice first year at uni, and is a type of exercise I actually kinda enjoy :) I'm now going to be vice-president of my unis taekwondo society which is cool, and I'm gonna try to rlly get good at everything I know so far through summer so I can feel more confident with future gradings. I hope that once I finish uni, I'll be able to find a place to do taekwondo that's as nice and chill as the society here. Maybe I'll see if I can join the partner school that works with the uni society, that is if I continue to live nearby lol. I don't think I'll ever do taekwondo competitively tho, I just like to do it for myself, and like getting cool belts lol.
I received my black belt in 1992 and I ceased practicing in 1995. I have now decided to return to the art 27 years later at the age of 55. I found this instructional video to be an excellent tool for recall. Wish me luck please.
