Dr. Dr.Jaideep Kumar Trivedi We were told that the operation will be scheduled on 1st January 2024 6:00AM and due to the reasons best known to the Hospital Authorities the Operation will be rescheduled to 8:00 AM. Regrettably, on the scheduled surgery day, January 1, 2024, we were devastated to find my mother in a critical emergency situation, undergoing CPR. To our dismay, Dr. Trivedi was not present during this critical period. Despite efforts, my mother could not be saved, and we were informed of her passing at 9 AM. With great grief we went to Apollo Hospital on 4th January 2024 to collect the documents and to know what had happened and the reasons for our mother's sudden death. Our grief was compounded by issues with the insurance desk, adding financial distress to our already overwhelming emotional burden. When attempting to seek clarification above the surgery day leading to my mother's sudden demise, our encounter with Dr.Jaideep Kumar Trivedi (MBBS, MS - General Surgery, MCh - Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon) Apollo Hospital was deeply troubling. His dismissive attitude, lack of clarity in explaining the events, and insensitive comments regarding our care for our mother added to our distress. Also during the discussion time with the Dr. Ramkrishna(Anaesthesia) the Surgeon Dr. Jaideep Kumar Trivedi (MBBS, MS - General Surgery, MCh - Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon) Apollo Hospital was outside and to our shocking he came inside and said “please go out and why should we give answer and why are you asking this question, we are not going to answer anything to your queries”, and he further added that “you guys have not took care your Mother properly since last one year and now at the last stage you brought this case file to me and expecting me to save” This experience has left us deeply saddened, frustrated, and questioning the care provided by Apollo Hospital. The events surrounding my mother's surgery and subsequent critical condition have left our family in shock and deep sorrow. I kindly request a thorough and impartial investigation into the circumstances leading to her unexpected passing on January 1, 2024 and share the same with us so that we can take appropriate further steps. Additionally, we urge you to take appropriate action to address our concerns, ensure accountability, and prevent such distressing incidents from happening to other patients and their families.
