Virginia still told me no!! My program was set up just that way. Even though I wanted to start out working with individuals that were already in the medical field, they would not exempt me.
I have so many questions! Maybe she's providing IV therapy certification or something.... And who is paying her? Who are her clients. In some states, if the course is less than 20 hours (for example CPR), don't need approval from board of education, BUT there must still be approval from that specific entity, for example American Heart Association or Red Cross...

A tip I used was find a nursing home that would let you operate out of temporarily for a reduced fee. Pitch it as you get a discounted rate, staff development, they can put that employee under contract in exchange for training. While you get a free space. But be prepared to be stuck in a random room. But it’s free.

I’m a mobile phlebotomist in Texas and we pick up a lot of specimens from nursing homes and the company that I work for tells us not to collect only the nurses collect. Is this just a Texas thing?

Great information. I know this video was made awhile ago but I'm going to start a construction school for carpentry, sheet rock, and heavy equipment operators ( such as driving bull dozer, skid steer, excavator etc. is your business still up and running?

When you own a business, you can determine your own pay. The question is…. How much do you want to make? Then figure out how many students will keep your school a float plus give you the pay that you want.
Yes each state does there funding different ( its actually per city) and funds different programs based on the needs of that area. Please check in with your local workforce development program to learn what they are willing to pay for and how you can get approved as a vendor.
I've been a phlebotomist as well as an ER tech for 15 years and I'm certified with the National phlebotomy association as well, so with all that experience it just dawned on me, why am I not getting paid to teach this?
