Ey up Hi Martin, has anyone mentioned your voice volume is low? Music and I assume cam mic are fine, it’s just your voice track Otherwise your video and topics are good 👍
Ey up Martin My daughter bought me Simon Weir’s latest book for my birthday last July It’s been useful for planning touring routes round Scotland, Yorkshire, Devon and Cornwall. A great book Si thee
Mate this was bloody brilliant and so informative. Thanks so much for this. I’m actually going three shires tmw for the first time. I’ve been to Buxton loads of times but never been to there. I’d seen a few videos and directions before I came across your video but I was still a little confused as to where exactly it was. The funny thing as soon as I saw your video I thought “that looks familiar” I’d been to Luds Church about a month ago and parked on that very carpark. Once I’d done that walk I’d walked up that way a bit to see what was about and literally had walked to the top of that little path you go up but then decided to go back to the car as it was getting late. So now I know exactly where to go thanks to you. This was invaluable mate, cheers very much for doing this. 😊
Ey up Martin I also have a 2019 Honda NC750X DCT, mainly because of the arthritis in my hands Yeah, it boils my p**s too when people refer to Matlock Bath as Matlock. I live on Matlock Bank, overlooking the town and towards the cable cars at the Heights of Abraham I’ll keep an eye out for you next time I’m out and about Si thee I feel blessed being able to ride round the Peak District and surrounding areas
I went there July/August last year with David from David's Hiking and Fishing. It was very cold even then. Another great video, Martin. I'm glad all the surgeries are over. I wish you a speedy recovery. Thanks for sharing.
It's great to see you out and about again, Martin. Ramshaw Rocks is very deceptive. I went a cropper going up there. I just did an out and back. The drone restrictions are because the rocks overlook a MOD artillery range. It hasn't been used in years, but it's still deemed active. It's great to see you have recovered and good luck with the next op. I can't wait to see your motorbike tour. Thanks for sharing. Ramshaw Rocks is locally known as The Winking Man. Nice to see you back.
Thank you. Due to have hernia op next week so Scotland tour will have to be in car and short walks. Hope to get a welsh motorcycle tour in sometime this year.
Walked through forge dam and Endcliffe park many times in the seventies and early eighties. Im sure there were rowing boats for rental back then at forge dam ?
Oh, Martian what a lovely walk. I am so glad you are out and about again. I can't wait for the adventures you have planned for 2024. Thank you for sharing.
Looking for a video about Alport Castles for a possible wild camp! This is the best video so far of the hike and of Alport Castles. Liked and Subscribed. Kind regards, Mr Nobodies Wild Camping!
Nice to see you out and about Martin. Beautiful views over Matlock. It is nice to see a park being used. As a kid, I was always in our local park. Thanks for sharing.
your video is one of the reasons why the local Mountain Rescue Teams are having an increased number of callouts here - people are inadequately equipped to reach here - think flipflops on feet etc, a callout may involve helicopter support and the relevant costs. thelangsettwanderer
I've only come across one of those millstones once so far. At the start of Lathkill Dale, there are two lying against a rock. Apart from that I've not seen any which is strange. A beautiful hike, Martin. Nice to see you back out there. I am looking forward to future vlogs.
Martin, I am so sorry that you had to go through all that. If there was no one to be with you at home, you shouldn't, in my opinion, been discharged first time. Thank God you just didn't take some more painkillers and fall asleep. You wouldn't have woken up again. I agree it was Hobson's choice. Have the operation or die. You take things easy. Walking around the block is a great way to start. The external catheter is far better than the internal one, too. It was obviously not your time. There are plans ahead for you. This is the time I pity our American friends who have to become homeless to pay their medical bills. You just keep at it, Martin, and you'll get there. You are one tough cookie. Thank you for sharing your update with us, and keep that recovery coming on. Stay safe and get well, my friend. ❤
Thank you. Unfortunately things didn’t go to plan and I was rushed back into hospital on Sunday night for a life saving emergency operation. Due to post op complications. Recovering now in hospital
