In a similar situation, I have a 2018 3500 I want to build out a little bit. Gotta lose weight first (probably in somebodys garage) then I want to throw a fleece hd head on, arp stubs, push tubes, fuel lines, cheetah turbo or 2nd gen swap not sure yet, banks intercooler, monster ram, cold air intake, etc etc. Not going to be cheap but one or a couple things at a time. starting with jenny craig and the monster ram intake first priority. I'd let firepunk work on my truck any time, love them guys. Thx for the upload, great video.

I'm trying to figure out why, my truck in extreme colds. Will fast idle right away, auto exhaust brake on. But once the coolant temp hits 90f the EB turns off. While the fast idle remains on, I then get pretty cold exhaust temps. Help can't fix. My tuners efi live have tried to help me but also have gave up.

How similar would this be on a 97 regular cab

I have a 3500 2015 wuth a g56 dually with 280,000 on it. I pull a 35' gooseneck and move equipment like backhoes, rollers and farm equipment. And it still all factory. Only problem is oil changes every 3000. 2 set of pads no rotors. My 05 with the 5.9 has around 400,000 and it for backup, which I haven't used yet.

Gotta do mine seen this done on GM’s same deal, lot better that wrestling the tank around

You made the right decision not keeping the original turbo; taking the core credit. My 2017 Ram Cummins turbo actuator failed at 72,000 miles and I’ve been driving with the exhaust break on (towing) since the day I bought the truck.

Mine is a ST with vinyl floor and seats no chrome. (not a pavement princess)I like the Thuren suspension to just haven't taken the plunge yet. Sweet build dude 😎

What would make the bottom ballpoint castle nut scrap in to the rim?

This is the only way to go imo. Everyone installs drawstraws, then they pull the tank out and then don't get the correct clearance because it's sitting on the ground.

The wheel bearing seal goes bad and the grease leaves the bearing.

nut is 36mm or 1 7/16. and take it off first.

That 'retainer clip' is not a retainer. It is a tattletale squealer when wheel bearing goes bad.

Quick question. With the intake being bigger are there any issues with getting to the fuel filter ?

Good point. - don't use GL5 gear oil in a VW transaxle. Use jack stands, blocking or spare tires before crawl under the car for safety. My uncle was crushed to death when a hydraulic jack seal failed. Drain fluid hot so that any junk-particles are in oil suspension when flushed as there's no filter in this system.
