I was using my knowledge of functional harmony to figure this chord progression out. It took me ages to realise it's just a pitch shifted chord. I believe it's a minor7th inverted so that the order from lowest to highest is the 7th, 5th, 1st then 3rd. It's Abm7, Ebm7, Em7, Bm7. Then repeat but with the Bm7 switched for an Gbm7. All in the aforementioned inversion. Just in case anyone wanted to remix it or just play around with that chord progression. I'm leaving this comment on several of the videos of this track and hopefully it won't get flagged as spam.
I saw this some years ago, dope AF! Today the music came to my had, yhe bass playing on loop inside my mind, and after a couple of hours: The sinapse lol The name came to my mind: Gasslamp Killer! And here I am again, gratitude! Great video, great music, great work mixing botj... Bravo!
One of the greatest and most underrated artists of all time. I live about 10 minutes from the Pentland Hills just outside of Edinburgh. I’ve driven for hours listening to tapes like this and wondering if or when I may have come close to Hexagon Sun
what machine is at the bottom??!!! the tan one!?? omg that looks amazing, and I dont know how I havent seen it online at least... incredible stuff!!.. really leaving a unique mark on the world!!
This album had a weird effect on me. I put slices of lemon peel under the glare of a lamp post, then removed them and filmed the empty pavement afterwards, for no apparent reason.
This is BOC’s first concept album; being exposed to the horrors of the world on TV but not being able to understand them yet (side A) while maintaining childhood innocence but internalizing that worldview into creative growth (side B). “Tomorrow’s Harvest” comes full circle.
