Washer is great. Although in need a new dispenser in mine. Part should hopefully be here tomorrow then they can schedule to replace. Any amount of soap I put in it always overflows out the front. No matter what kind. Definitely not happy with sears home service. They’ve canceled the part and re ordered it numerous times. Going on over a month now to get this fixed.
@@BunkysworkshopI have been. They are the ones who actually found out that my part was ordered. Yet they are the ones who subcontract sears home service. Hopefully after this I’ll be good to go. Not impressed with any of this
@@Bunkysworkshoponline from a place that’s now no longer open. I called speed queen directly when the problem first occurred and this is who they set up service with. Just got the dispenser delivered today and the tech is suppose to come Friday. Crossing my fingers they show up.
@@ndhonda1282 The only thing I would ever recommend to someone purchasing a speed queen washer is make sure you do so through an authorized dealer. I hope they show and solve your problem. 👍
Can you please tell the ingredients in teaspoons and cups and tablespoons along with grams and ml thank you from all the beginners just starting out braking? Thank you!
I bake primarily sourdough bread and learned to measure using weight (grams). I’m glad you put your recipe using weight measurements. Thank you for your demonstration.
@@Bunkysworkshop I use Pantrymama Discard Sourdough Sandwich Loaf or the Feathered Nester Sourdough No Knead Sandwich Bread. Pantrymama’s recipe uses yeast; I use it when I need a quick loaf. Feathered Nester you need to plan but it is an easy recipe. Both have websites. I’m currently learning how to bake using freshly milled flour (fmf) and switching to all fmf. I’ve only baked one loaf so far. If you haven’t seen the Bread Beckers videos/podcast, it is definitely eye opening. I learned about the Zo from the Bread Beckers. I enjoyed your demo. Thank you.
Thank you for doing this bro, been looking at other front load washers and this one stands out from all them. I don’t want to have to worry about it breaking down anytime soon compared to other brands! I will probably end up getting a different dryer than the matching one though. The price on that is too high for a dryer in my opinion😓.
@@Bunkysworkshop Yeah, I've got a Sears Homart belt drive window fan. It works great but, I really want to clean it up and restore it to its shiny greatness.
The washing machine going is a huge distraction. Don’t understand why you didn’t wait until you had no other background noise going on. Not watching to the end.
@@Bunkysworkshop i was ready to jump on it but the built in cabinatary in the laundry room is 1 inch off. like the counter top where the washing machine sits under is 1 inch to short, the machien is taller by a inch lol. sigh
Sir Bunkles. How is your afib? Ive had 5 cardioversions and last one lasted les than a month. Did you have ablation? Thats what they want do next. Jimmy
@@swedishlutheran Hello Jimmy my friend and thank you for stopping in. My Afib is no longer as I did have an ablation. So fingers crossed 🤞 that it stays that way. I’m sorry that you’re dealing with this as I know it can be frustrating but I promise you that your doctors will take good care of you.
Whatever, for all of that money it should have a drum light included and a RotoSpray wash, lint filtered water stream being sprayed into tumbling clothing. JUST LIKE THE LADY KENMORE COMBO.
the spin cycle sounds like an airplane speeding up on the runway. I have only used top load machines in my life. it's all I know. this was cool to watch
@@erg844 I was thinking of ordering it but they seem to be the same thing. The only difference I can see is the control panel. Is this correct or am I missing something?
Mine has this wonderful feature of overflowing out of the detergent dispenser. No matter what type of soap is put in it overflows and leaks down the front. Sears home service was here and ordered a new dispenser. Parts were canceled and then re ordered. love the washer but sears is pissing me off
@@Bunkysworkshop definitely not an issue on my end. I only fill to the first line & sometimes less on the cap/measuring cup that comes with the detergent. Had front loaders for years and have always measured this way. First machine that's ever done this.
Would it be possible for you Bunky to do another king size comforter vid with this washer? I’m thinking of getting this washer when I get a house pretty soon but wanted to see how it can handle it. I saw your previous vid with the normal cycle, but that wasn’t the right cycle for it. Perhaps the bulky or heavy duty cycle? It would be much appreciated :) this seems like a very good washer and been loving the vids
Well I'm sorry to say Bunky that I had to get rid of my Speed Queen front loader and go back to a top load washer instead... I do 8 loads of laundry a week and it was getting hard for me to keep bending because of my back issues and because of where my washer is located in the apartment, I couldn't get the riser for it because there are cabinets over the washer and dryer and I don't think that my landlord would let me take them down so I had to go back to a top load washer instead... I got The Speed Queen TR7 washer and matching electric dryer and it does just as good as the front load did except that it uses a little more water which we don't pay for anyway because the complex is on 4 very large wells and septic's, So that isn't a problem for me there... Anyway this washer is even more gentle on my clothes then the front loader was and I noticed that my new colored T-shirts aren't fading as fast as my other ones were, being washed in the front loader... Thanks for the video Bunky and have a great weekend... Bob
@@elcacaro3849 Hello and thank you for stopping in on my channel. As for comparing the two washers I prefer the front loader machine. Both do a very good job in cleaning your clothes. However the front loader in my opinion does just a little better such as it can hold a much larger load. Spins at a mush higher rpm so less drying time and it has many more options for different kinds of laundry that you may come across. It has a self cleaning cycle and I love the wash/soak cycle for those smelly or stubborn stains.
@@gryph82 The bowl will turn from the rotation from the beaters. The one beater closes to the edge of the bowl has a plastic piece on it that turns the bowl.
@@dynatrak That wonderful dreamy blue Kenmore canister vacuum. I so would love to have one but they are hard to find now days. Did you have a chance to give it a try?
@@Bunkysworkshop I remember the original Powermate head failed, and the replacement was tan. Never had the pleasure of fully using it, except for vacuuming out a car with it, once. It ended up at one of my Aunt's by the 90's. Not sure what happened to it after that. At the time, who knew how rare that model would become!
Why don't you turn the base around so you don't have to twist your hand to replace the iron? Also how long does the charge last? I watched several reviews and no one says how long the charge lasts.
@@lindachandler5980 Hello and thank you for stopping in in my channel. We have turned the stand around and it’s now on an adjustable table. As for the charge on the iron that I could say. As this doesn’t have a battery or anything like that. This iron stays hot from the base. The iron very quickly reheats when put on the base. No problems at all with it staying hot.
@@Bunkysworkshop thanks for your quick response. I'll ask my question a different way. How long does the iron stay hot and press well before you have to put it back on the base. 1 minute? 5 minutes? 10 minutes? And how long does it take for the iron to heat to the highest setting after it's lost it's heat.
@@lindachandler5980 The iron normally takes about 3 to 5 minutes heat up and for the highest setting about 6 minutes. And as for temperature loss and having to put the iron back on its base for reheating I would say about 6 minutes approximately. Please note that this iron doesn’t or can’t stand on its own like a corded iron. A corded iron can stand upright on its own as with this iron the only way to let go of it is you must put it back on its base.
@@Bunkysworkshop thank you. That's the information I was looking for. I don't suppose it could get much of a reheat in the few seconds it rests in the base while shifting your fabric.
Bucky, I just went to Metro and bought a Speed Queen TR7 top loader. I checked out the FF7 - it was HUGE and would not fit well in my laundry room. Even getting it in there would be a challenge. Looks like a beast of a unit, though! I believe I will be very happy with the top loading TR7, even though it lacks the true agitator system of the TC5. At my age and being retired I no longer have lots of really dirty clothes in any case, and the TR7 will be much gentler on the fabrics than the TC5 or my current (defunct now) Maytag from the 1990's. Thanks for your help, I am really glad to get a Speed Queen with their legendary reliability.
@@Bunkysworkshop I surely will. It is coming next Wednesday and I can't wait to put it through its paces. I almost went for the matching DR7 dryer also, but our old Maytag dryer - the first one with an electronic control panel, is still going strong!
@@jeffwilliams7351 I love the old school top loader and it’s a beast of a machine. However now that I’ve been using the front loader I’m sold on it. It has many more options and holds larger loads. I also feel it does a better job in many cases. What are you thinking at this point?
@@Bunkysworkshop First wanted to verify if you have the TR7 or TC5 top loader. The TC5 is like my old Maytag, while the TR7 has a touchpad and finlike agitator that supposedly moves water through the clothes and is much gentler on them than the TC5 or my current very old Maytag. This would be the obvious buy for me, it is what I am used to. But I am drawn to the gentler handling of clothes by the TR7 and for sure the FF7. 90% of my clothes are all cotton wash and wear (JosABanks shirts, etc) with some exercise wear and blends my wife wears. All three machines sold by a Metro Appliance near me, will go see them on Friday.
@@BunkysworkshopMany thanks for your recommendation! I am now leaning toward the FF7 front loader also. Because of built-in cabinets above I cannot use a riser, so will forever have to bend down to toss the clothes in, hard to do with back issues like I have (I am much older than you). And remember to leave the door ajar every time (could this be an action that over time effects the door closing problem you had with your first FF7? The reason I asked about TC5 versus TR7 is that I was hoping to get the gentler but still very effective wash with the TR7 and still have a top loader but this may be a pipe dream.
@@jeffwilliams7351 So my top loader is the old school with manual knobs and standard agitator. The model number is AWN432SP113TW04. This is the standard washer not the HE washer. I hope this helps you. I do believe I made a video on delivery day and first wash.
My 30+ year old Maytag washer is finally unrepairable because the main bearing is on its way out (just like a car - more and more noise on spin over time) and my Maytag repairman (have Maytag dryer also) says they are not allowed to replace this part any more (no access to part). So I am going to get a Speed Queen, as current Maytag just doesn't cut it any more. I was going for the TR7 top load as I have heard about all this mold and odor etc issues with front load, but I believe after watching your video and reading the comments I may get the FF7 front loader like you did. Many thanks for this video and your comments back to folks. I am an enthusiastic new subscriber now. Any comments about this?
@@jeffwilliams7351 Thanks for stopping in and watching my video. As for the mold problems that you may be worried about just keep the door cracked open and the detergent drawer open when the machine isn’t in use. Plus the front loader has a tub clean cycle that you use tub clean tables.I did a video on the tub clean and the tablets I used. I hope this helps. 👍
bless your heart Craig, caring for the elderly. I have always had a passion for that myself. I did care for my grandmother when I could, unfortunately I live 2000 miles away from where she lived but I made trips to spend time with her and care for her when I could, wasn't for anything other than I Loved and cherished her very much. im disabled myself with cerebral palsy so I am limited on how much I can do but I was able to cook, clean and do small maintenance and repairs around her old mobile home. she passed away 4.5 years ago. Hey Bunky Nice to see you on again...😀 As I told you before, I had a few of these vacuums in the past and they were Fabulous!!!
