I feel that the PRX is in a different class with a larger power reserve. Then Citizen has a better warranty than Tissot. I have both watch brands and enjoy them both.
I have a 35mm, and I really like it! I don't regret the purchase at all. It has become my favorite watch. The bracelet is so good! I'm not usually someone who gets on with bracelets, as I prefer straps, but I love the PRX bracelet. I bought it because it is a vintage-looking sporty watch that I can wear with anything, from a T-shirt and shorts to a blazer. I have a dressier watch, but this is the perfect daily. It's weird, but the PRX has become the new SKX. I never got an SKX when everyone had one, so I had to get a PRX once the PRX trend started 😂
Also, do not buy new SNX's, the bracelet just doesn't match whatsoever, just find an older version, wont be THAT easy, but the matching with case is very good (even tho quality of bracelet is kinda the same), but it'll give you proper look, so you wont need to find an alternative strap.
Sorry to say it but those Tsuyosa are blandness embodied in the form of a wristwatch, with a touch of ugliness from the dwarfed cyclops. The hype is ridiculous. Oh, and the price? Forget about it.
I've had mine for 18 months and I'm still loving it. The 'slate' dial with the ice blue secondhand is mesmerising. You're spot on about the creamy bezel movement. It sits perfectly on the wrist too. I also don't own a Sub but I do have a vintage Rolex Pepsi which I wear on a pale blue suede strap.
Not hard to beat the prx if you have money, the christopher ward t20 absolutely kills it, but at the price point of citizen the prx is between a rock and a hard place , it needs to go with some super bright colour options because it no longer stands out
@RicardoHawkes Neon with contrasting details, if they could do it the whitest of white and blackest black ect. May be some black case and bracelet? It might be Possible have a 3 layer dial and lazer cut in the texture to have a inverted design but it would double the price of they done it with a titanium case ect. But I would rather spend £300-£350 odd brittish pounds on a citizen or £1,500 when I actually have money on the christopher ward chronograph, I think the same designer done the t12 and prx.
This is an Automatic Echo drive that will keep ticking for years! from the sun or a lamp . The PRX is a Quartz watch that has a shelf life ! Any quartz watch will die in time mechanical watches are made to last .
I disagree - this watch does not smash the PRX. Both are great watches in their own right but different enough to appeal to different buyers. If citizen is going to eat anyone's lunch, it's going to be Seiko, not Tissot. Citizen has been hitting homeruns over the past couple years while Seiko has had too many strike outs.
By citizen having homeruns you mean 2 total watches over 5ish years... I guess those are homeruns... Yes I agree this doesn't touch tissot. I don't think it's taking any luch money from big boy seiko
looks good but citizen quit that titanium pffff feels cheap and the titanium citzen use is soft look at the tests its a shame and it feels cheap super titanium hahahahaha
Picked one up 3 months ago..I feel a lil bad for my other watches as I cannot take this off my wrist! It’s stunning and wears perfectly. Slim and elegant.
Agree with your thoughts. I own both a YM (blue dial version) as well as a Sub. Truth be told, I seldomly wear my sub anymore. The YM is just that good!
No, this watch is not changing anything. It may look nice, but the abysmal branding kills it (nonsense name, ugly logo, idiotic "diver's" and "deepseahunter").
On the dial: "Addiesdive" in cursive letters like they use on some other watches; "automatic" and "100m". On the caseback: just the specs, NO "diver's", preferably no logo - it's too complicated, like Steeldive's, and anyway it doesn't fit on this dress-y watch. It's quite easy i think. 🤷♂️
It’s not the next best thing to the Rolex Sub, it is better than the R/S. better bracelet better movement etc. Rolex Sub is now just an insta watch worn by faux riche, and the whole R/S Has now been destroyed by the superclone market. This is a genius release. Pick mine up tomorrow 😝 on the Jubilee 💥
I too am a big fan of Dune. I've ordered this same watch and also ordered a matching 19mm suede leather. I've searched for a while for the exact same color and sand texture for the strap to match the dial. I'm still waiting for the delivery so I'm really hyped.
Great review of an excellent watch. I purchased this a while back and have been very pleased with it. Addiesdive make some really excellent watches with quality finishing and much cheaper than San Martin, etc.
I would never buy a watch for 11k, but also never buy an homage watch. Still, if you give me ultimatum to either buy 1 rolex to be my only watch for the rest of my life or 137.5 80$ homages, I pick rolex
