I’m so upset by my mole problem I’m contemplating giving up growing my own food which is something I love and helps my mental health. But it’s causing me more frustration than the benefits of gardening give me because of the moles. I like how you narrowed it down to two solutions and you seem like a straight shooter. I’ve spent so much money and time on hoses, dynamite looking things, solar repellers, granules, and a bunch of other things that haven’t worked. I like how you compared the trap to fishing I can wrap my head around that. We have moles all over our 3 acres but the area I’m working on is 1/2 acre. I think I need to buy more traps…
Thank you for watching. None of the above. I am talking about moles. I posted a link above to some other documents but here is another one. extension.purdue.edu/news/county/whitley/2022/03/moles.html
Hay Bosco... Are yall doings any tipes of hiring ? I lives n Staunton I donnts gota drivbers licene cuz I gotds a felonies buts sumones coulds taken me outs to the property and eye coulds dos the works.
I am actively trying to replace my cool season grass (in michigan/indiana) with Meyer zoysia grass. It needs much less mowing and fertilizer. In particular, I have a big bank on the south side of my property where the cool season grass looks terrible in the summer. Beauty (or ugly) is in the eye of the beholder.
Hi Jimmy! In Indiana, you need your RT license to apply pesticides under someone with their category license. As you know, a pesticide kills something else, including fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, and rodenticides. For more information about licensing in your state, you should check with the office that handles that. For us, it is the Office of Indiana State Chemist.
I wasn't impressed with the demo I was at. There was an adjustment knob that was broken, fittings were popping loose everywhere and was shocked it had no filter until you got to the tips. For somebody that works on the equipment I use, I would be pissed to service/work on things like fittings and hoses, service the motor.
@@BowmansProTurfLLC Wow! I have been thinking about getting the same kind of carport and was thinking about how I was going to secure it down. Did it rip up the anchors or did it just break off?
I’m sitting in my rv under my rv port as we speak with high winds watching it shake. Should I use 4x4 posts concreted in with brackets screwing it into the wood?
Hi Robert. Thanks for your feedback. While I appreciate your opinion, it is just that. An opinion. We were very fortunate to be able to test these machines and have added 2 to our fleet this year. I’m sure any real criticism you could provide would be listen to by the team at Steel Green but it appears you are just really upset about something bigger going on in your life right now. I am sorry this is happening to you.
Hope its not like the z spray all the fitting and hydraulic hoses are cheap made i run a z spray and would love to check out the equipment but for me to say I would be looking for quality witch z spray did a pour job on the high pressure hydraulic hoses for sure....plastic should not be used for high pressure hoses pour quality.....
So where are the high pressure plastic fittings on a Z-spray?........or perhaps your wrong? We run 600-700 hours a year on each of our 3 Z-sprays and they have been by far more dependable than the the Perma-greens or the Turfco's we have previously run. Plastic fittings are generally good for 150 psi. The only place I see plastic fittings are on the oil tank reservoir and they not pressure lines.
I tried this product in late August of this year with absolutely no results. Nothing grew - not even a single blade of grass. This, despite hand watering it every day and tending to it like a newborn. Reached out to the company via email with no response to date; tried to get a hold of them on Instagram, and they blocked me. Extremely unprofessional to say the least. Meanwhile, some Scotts topsoil product and actual TTTF grass seed is currently THRIVING in under 7 days (in the same areas I tried Turf Mend!). Don't waste your money on this product.
@@BowmansProTurfLLC I'm in New Jersey. My whole lawn THRIVES, but I've got this one section in the back yard around my pool that always struggles, year over year. I've amended the soil, turned it over, etc etc, and every year it just goes to hell. I had really high hopes for this product, but was quite stunned to see NO growth, whatsoever. Meanwhile, I did just reseed using traditional methods, and 6 days later, I have full growth coverage. No idea what happened here.
Thank you for watching! The brand doesn't matter as much as making sure the active ingredient in the product you use is Bromethalin. Also make sure you wear gloves when applying the bait to the mole runs. Moles are blind and go by smell and they will smell the difference in the bait if you do not use gloves. Hope this helps!
Thanks for watching! We have found that if you run the machine at around 4 mph you can manage many hills. There are still some that we will use a push cart of belly spreader on for safety. It is much easier to walk an area of the lawn we are uncomfortable on than it is to call for help! Patience and practice and these machines are extremely versatile and are a great addition to a company.
There are some similarities but after using the Steel Green there are big difference that we think make it way more user friendly from an applicator and maintenance standpoint.
Steel green is a much better machine. At least the 52”. I used it for an entire year. I had 4 years with Z spray and it was like switching from a Geo Prism to a corvette.
If its the same as a z spray mabe you should up the quality of the hoses fitting and all the plastic cap that comes on the z spray to much of a risk for a lawn guy to have any hydraulic hoses bust all the plastic fitting needs to be metal fittings just my opinion....thats a lot of cash 💸 if a hoses bust.....
No its not even close that machine rides like shit and you can not control it on hills without the casters would not own a steel green my boss got a 36 and i would rather send that back and get the 36 in (Z SPRAY)
@@robertcook8860 i believe it. All these companies develop & design these machines on flat level terrain. Here in WV, I would never own one of these zero turn sprayer/spreaders with casters on front. Certain death. I'm sure z spray is a great machine. Steel green is a knock off. I still wouldn't own either one here. Thanks for your reply!
