Jerry is one of those people who believe because they have enough money to buy something, that automatically makes them smart enough to run it. I’m surprised Jerry doesn’t pilot his private jet….he had enough money to buy it. One thing makes about as much sense as the other.

The movie came out in 1979. Niland was long retired by then. He wasn’t in his 3rd year in the Nfl. Now if he’s talking about the book then he was still on the Cowboys when that came out.

Was going to mention the same thing. His last year in the league was 1975 and his last year with the Cowboys was 1974. Lee Roy Jordan's last year was 1976. He seems to clearly be talking about the movie so maybe he is mixed up.

Oh my goodness?.. Well, we now live on conspiracy earth, where facts are no longer facts, and nobody is on solid ground… And our institutions are crumbling.. And for what?.. Before my dad passed. He said one night he went to bed . And he fell asleep. Then he said he woke up and people were standing around his bed . The frist person he seen was J F K . then he said Turman was standing behind him . Then he stood up , walked around the back side of the bed and then he seen the most beautiful woman he ever seen .it was his mom. He went to her and she said to him " I waiting for " he said ok . Then he got back in bed covering up and people was still standing around and he fell back to sleep. I hope this brings a smile on people's faces. I was told my Dad loved Kennedy and he cried the day he died.

This is great stuff.... never saw this interview.... Mr Niland ..a great player himself is wrong however about a couple of things... yes michael irvin was there in 88 last Landry year.... and landry would of Drafted aikman but was fired... so as far as most of the team being there for jimmy and jerry that's incorrect in fact check the rosters the team that won in 92 had very very few players left over from the landry era.. Jim .jeffcoat... Mark Tuinea ...bill bates kelvin martin nate newton... and maybe a few others but that is it..and Switzer was there four years and ya it was jimmys team but like barry said ..."people say i won with jimmys team but i coulda lost with jimmys team true enough

@@ronniebishop2496 If you google Ralph Neely and North Dallas Forty you’ll run across an old Washington Post article talking about the Jo Bob character. Neely is quoted as saying that certain aspects of Jo Bob are him. The article also mentions that others think that Jo Bob was based on Don Talbert and George Andrie. At any rate, if I had to venture a guess Jo Bob from the book and movie was likely a composite character along with a healthy dose of fiction.
