that intro. those kids have some good heads on their shoulders : ) oldest brother protecting the one year old : ) she cant help it, she sonly 1. of course she cant swim. yet : )
I realize this was 4 years ago, but the music was way too loud, it drowned out your voice. I'm new to turning, but not to woodworking. I bought this set and just waiting to get my bottle stopper chuck, drill chuck, and finishes.
Its a very good looking bench for how simple it is! 2x6 on the arm rests would definitely be nice, you could even cut a cup hole in it to make it even better!
@@KuipersAdventures yep ill need all the luck i can get i may forgot to mention im planning on doing a 4 ft. wide 12 ft. long boat as ive already got an 8 and 10 ft. boat
nice work dude :D .. trying to replicate your work, but i suppose i would not glue the cable inside the arc and maybe i'll curve the wood before gluing all togheter. PS: for the pads, glue some velcro on the wood (hooks) and the loops on the pads. So when you need to replace them, you can strap them off ...
Good luck with your build! The velcro is a great idea! im going to be building a couple more sets of headphones soon, they will have the headphone jacks in both earcups to eliminate the need for wires though the headband. I hope to have videos out on them in the next month or so.
Where did you get your mandrel from? The one from psi should work, you may have to undo the end and pull the rod out more. I know it took me a little while to find the right length that works for most pens.
I got my mandrel from Rockler. I went out yesterday and bought an adjustable one. So, now I finally put all bushings and blanks on it. But, I'm afraid to turn it. I have a carbide with round cutter, I don't have something like yours.
Don't be to worried about your bushings, you will probably want to get some more turning tools eventually though. Bushings are going to have to be replaced every once in a while, they don't last forever unfortunately.
That shouldn't be an issue, you would just have to shorten all of the long boards down to the size you want. I would imagine it would be a very sturdy bench shorted up.
Your welcome! It took me a long time to find out how these dumb things worked lol! I still come back to this video if I make one of these pens just because I forget how it works!
I went through some major life changes and this got pushed way to the back, this is one project I'm hoping to get done this winter so when my kids are here we can try it out!
@@KuipersAdventures okay looking forward to it and also sorry to hear that change can be hard no matter what the scale I hope you are doing well and things work in your favor
Great video, sir! Love the wood stain. I’m house-hunting currently in Alaska and am already looking up ways to jazz up a backyard… Being that the legs are just 2x4, how much weight would you estimate this could hold seating? Thanks!
