I haven’t had a tv for over 15 years and would never want to go back to having one. I stay so much more active and explore new hobbies because I’ve lost the reflex to just plop down and watch whatever is on the screen. I have 3 children and they have never had a tv. We stream shows from time to time. It’s great to see them at family gatherings when there is a tv playing. Everyone (my adult siblings, parents and other kids) will plop down and stare at the tv while me and my kiddos are getting out a board game or running outside to play.
I was a teen when the internet finally came around but we never had a computer or internet until I became an adult. I spent my childhood reading everything we had including all of our encyclopedias and other books. To this day I still love reading.
@@unitedstatian My dad worked back in the late 50's for RCA. We had a TV before anyone else I knew. But, our TV wasn't on all the time, only a few hours a day, but of course it had to be only when my dad was at home to watch it with us. Even though TV's were sold as early at the late 1920's to the 1930's, they were an expensive luxury. So I feel lucky that we had a TV in 1955, I was only 3 at the time, I don't remember because I was so young, but I do remember when we got our first color TV in 1957. The first color TV's only had a 12 inch screen and cost 1000.00. That's crazy, now you can get a pretty large flat screen TV for under 500.00. My dad repaired TV's so, he'd buy one that didn't work for almost nothing and repair it so even though they were expensive, we got ours for a song.

The Chosen brought my father back to God and Jesus and helped him see the Bible in a whole new light - from the perspective of those who wrote it. Shame on you for not seeing the good God is using this show for.
It isn't empty. It brought the spirit back into my life and had me reading the scriptures again. God designed for us to come to him in whichever way we could. Judge not those who needed a push towards God in this way.

I do this too, but because it is sometime between 2am and 4am and I have just finished some server/computer maintenance and I don't want to disturb sleeping people.
