A little Hot Rod Shop hidden in the mountains of Virginia, we build everything from Mild to Wild. We can build vehicles back to stock, have 2 stock builds in shop now, but our passion is building the Wild. If you can dream it up, or if you want us to use our imagination, send us an email or come by the shop and discuss your dream ride. Our videos will include How to segments, showcasing builds along the way, and hopefully throwing in some comedy and laughs just for good measure.
@@CamshaftGarage I literally almost pulled the car off the lift trying to get the door open 🤣🤣😂😂😂 it was so simple and complicated at the same time 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🔧🔧🔧🔧
yes we are doing the chessie car show in Clifton tomorrow, the Douthat show is no more sadly. There is talk of it being replaced with a show on weekend before Memorial Day next year. hopefuly it will turn into something big to replace Douthat show, always looked forward to the "home" show.
Allison should be ashamed to put their name on the biggest POS GM ever made. Nothing but problems with my Allison transmission. It’s a death trap and is locking up or downshifting from 9th to 1st when driving over 60 mph. It did this to me at 80 mph in an 80 mph speed zone pulling a 40’ trailer. I know other people who have similar issues and a valve body replacement doesn’t permanently solve the problem.
@@RobbieBobbie98 this one only needed a neutral safety switch, transmission shifted fine. Truck just wouldn’t start. Sounds like yours is whole different problem 🔧🔧🔧🔧
I always appreciate someone either reviewing or just trying a tool or product.... What I dont like is when the maker of the video acts like a pro speaking to idiots.... Thanks for kind of not being either
@@KittyBertandErnie glad you liked it, I still use this crimper on every A/C system we do in the shop. Sure there is more expensive ones and I’m sure there is cheaper one 👍🏻🙌🏼👊🏼 this one is right in the middle 👍🏻🙌🏼🔧🔧🔧 thanks for watching 👍🏻🙌🏼🎥🎥🎥🎥
Great video !! Can’t think of much better than driving a hot rod thru some of this beautiful country with 100 of your old friends & 5900 new friends !! Nice soundtrack too 👍
Martian's german car service in Roanoke may be able to give you some info. The only shop I've been in where the mechnics wear white shirts. They work on a lot of older cars.
Now you can break out the rest of those metric tools besides the infamous 10 mm socket 😂. I remember a certain yellow truck that you guys fixed the steering on after other folks gave up 👏👏 This one will be right when it leaves your shop too. 👍
In 1961, the Mercury Meteor was a full-size car like the Monterey and the Ford Fairlane. In 1962, the Fairlane and Meteor were mid-sized cars on the Falcon/Comet chassis. The Falcon had a 110 inch wheelbase and the Comet had a 115 inch wheelbase on sedans. (Falcon and Comet wagons had the same wheelbase.) While it was very cleanly styled, the Meteor was roughly the same size as the Comet and it was believed by Ford that Comet had better name recognition. So, the Meteor was discontinued in 1963 in the U.S. Cool fact: In Canada, Meteor was a car brand. During 1961, '62, and '63 Meteor was discontinued in Canada until 1964 when it was revived after being discontinued in the U.S. GREAT VIDEO!
thank you i'm getting ready to do a rear disc brake swap on a 72 cheyenne and using 10 inch rally wheels . do these take special pads or can you get them anywhere
@@doug595959 the kits you buy come with calipers and brake pads, but the pads are cheap china just and turn your rims black every time you drive it. So go to local part store and ask for best pad on a 1980 Cadillac eldorado 👍🏻👊🏼👊🏼 that’s what those calipers actually come from is 1980’s Cadillac 👍🏻👊🏼🙌🏼🔧🔧🔧
Yeah we pickup Rt 66 in Oklahoma and run it to California, most of it is I-40 now but we going to hit as many parts as we can on way out and back too 👍🏻🙌🏼👊🏼
Thank you for the shoutout! Great finally meeting you at the Sheetz here in my hometown Columbus. And thanks again for the directions! They really helped on our first Tour!
So funny. I was wearing one of your ball caps and you stopped and said something like "nice hat". I can see my husband and I standing behind our car as you drive into the gold parking area. I guess that is my 1 second of fame. Ha!!
Hello from Concord NC! Great to meet you both this year! The directions were great and much appreciated! Hope to cross paths again soon. Happy Motoring!
@@andhotrodshop I'm not sure about coming back. I liked the mix of cities on this years tour. As I commented before we left I have been following Drag and Drive events for a couple of years now. There are a lot less cars and I like the competitive drag racing. I will be going back to Great Trail in Sept to see friends and watch the beginning of Hot Rod Drag Week.
