Everyone starts somewhere, and Here is the place to be!! Don’t let fear stop you from trying new things. You’ve got this!
Also, wetting the board before final sanding is called raising the grain! Very pro tip from you! What a great and obvious well loved board by the previous owner... Now it's totally ready for many more years of great use! Nicely done!
GREAT RESTORE! FYI... A power Planer would work for this board fine, but DO NOT plane and engrain cutting board! It will separate the grains and chip out the trailing edge as it goes through! Hand planing is fine on end grain, but not power planing!
I thought so too!! I grabbed it and did a full refinish! 🙌🏼 I just shared the full tutorial because I found out some cool tips for redo-ing cutting boards!!
I did it 😳 I took it home!! How would you have cleaned it? I just shared a full tutorial on how to save your cutting boards so be sure to go check it out and let me know what you think 😍 Also make sure to hit subscribe so you don’t miss all the fun DIY’s I’m sharing! 💕
Wow!!! Looks fantastic!!! I bet your little lobster of the land is happy he didnt come home with you to test out that new cutting board haha!!! Great job lady!
No worries, we all have our own opinions. The before was literally stained from years of use so couldn’t keep that 🤷🏼♀️Be sure to watch to the very end. The yellow look is more from the lighting and when it was placed in my kitchen you can see a more accurate color ☺️
It feels like a pleather. I probably wouldn’t do it to a living room couch where you lounge but it’s a perfect solution for chairs or loungers that are used less.
Thanks for sharing your experience and what you learned along the way! 💡 Your honesty about the mistakes you made will definitely save others from making the same ones.
Ok this would be my luck flipping something! With 5 cats, I have enough trouble just doing small craft! My black cat has stomped through white paint while I was working, but was able to grab him before he got away!🤦🏻♀️🤣
Hey hey hey! It’s Sabrina Richardson, the infamous third grade teacher! 🤣🤣 Dr. Hes just told me today about your RU-vid channel!! I had no idea!! I knew you had your Prayed over Pieces, but not the channel!! I LOVE, and am addicted to, RU-vid thrift flip videos and crafts! You are so extremely talented!! WH is so darn lucky and blessed to have the both of you with us!! Thank you for all you both do!! 💖💖And now that school dismissed early today🤦🏻♀️, I’ve got some binge watching to do!!😜😜
I really liked the before because it was so unique! But, if it’s not selling, then you have to rethink your vision. I like the blue redo! I would like to see some feet on it. The paint seems like a very user friendly product which is nice. Great job! 🦋
@@TheFlippersGuidethat’s all I can find too. eBay has a listing and it’s 17”. It looks like the center actually screws together and it’s a storage container. A website has pictures of an adult sitting on one when I googled idee berry stool red. It looks like that’s it for sure.
If they're heavy, they kind of look like something you'd put a pole in to keep it upright, like something for a kids fort. Too bad the sku # doesn't show up on their website anymore because now I'm curious too!
