Is that worth the $360? How about just replacing the intake pipe only with Airaid or K&N which costs $169? U'd still get better airflow and about same increase in HP, which is 5 at best.
Currently as of 7/27/23 AC Delco OE Compressor GM - 745$ Summit - 320$ Local Dealership - 750$ Dealership wanted to charge me 2000$ Funny enough the GM AC Compressor was on sale 50% off.
Whats a good estimate to do this from mechanic? I am currently about to buy one that the ac is blowing hot. The guy selling it said he thinks it prolly the compressor. He knocked off 500 bucks. I want to know what it's gonna be to get fixed if I can't so this myself
i been fighting my pitman arm for almost 3 hours now the people who engineered this are idiots! tomorrow i'm just gonna unbolt the entire steering box to get the puller on it
Thanks. Very helpful. We have a 14. We are going to tackle this ourselves. Got an estimate of 1900. I keep hearing about a dryer/accumulator. Did you do something with that?
These cars don't have the old school dryer/accumulator, they have a desiccant bag inside the condenser on the passenger side. If it has gone bad like mine did, just replace the whole condenser as one. It should come with a desiccant bag already preinstalled. That way you get a clean condenser core with no garbage floating around in it.
I couldn’t help but notice how much further the old pitman arm was up on the splines compared to the new one. Have you had any issues since the new ones installed?
It went on as far as it would , for some reason everyone I’ve ever done never wants to go back where it originally was , but it’s been fine with no problem what so ever !
@@smalltownautomotive1082 I wonder if you put a 4 spline pitman arm on when your truck called for a 3? Or visa versa? My truck has a 3 spline. Some have 4. Need to have the correct one or it will not go on all the way. Might want to check it out?
@@smalltownautomotive1082 also u can wire them into your marker lights and they will run with your headlights simultaneously without the adaptive harness
