This is an awesome show. Debbie Harry's singing in this show has elements of a 1970s Patti Smith vocal style. Jimmy Destri at times sounds like Ray Manzarek of the Doors. Clem plays Keith Moon-inspired hard-hitting fills... Blondie was fun as a punk band in 1977. This would have been a very fun show in person. I also like the sound that Blondie developed with Parallel Lines and after, but early Blondie was raw and rockin'!
I wasn't a huge Pumkins fan, but living in the Chicago burbs during the Melancollie era, you'd better like something. X.Y.U. was my go to, of this period. This is true vindication of my choice.

Berlin , one of the best albums ever made. But the songs on it have a melody and Lou doesn't sing them . He is talking , improvising with a terrible timing ; so the most important thing of the song , the melody , is gone. He has a good band around him gathered but he has to play guitar himself and he only knows a few chords ; when he does a solo it's the same as with his singing ; it doesn't make sense what he is doing . The band is very good but Lou screws op this concert and that is more than a shame . But Berlin the album ( and R&R Animal ) are for me two of the best albums ever made . In that time Lou sang great and didn't play guitar him self .................
What is your problem?? That’s Lou’s style, he never sings his songs as they are recorded, always however he feels like singing. Neither he nor the band screw up, they play perfectly. Watch other concerts of Lou, you’ll know what I mean…
@@AlperAkcoltekin The man used to be good in the early days with the Velvets and his later band with Dick Wagner , Steve Hunter , Prakash John , Ray Colcord and Pennti Glann and with the good producers he had . Since 1980 he can't sing anymore and he wants to play guitar and all the producing doing himself but he can't ; he sucks from that moment and went down hill. So I made this cover from him in honer of his best record : Berlin . It is the best record I have ever heard ........ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pbc8d1iwoOY.html If that is to soft for you than this one from the album Sally can't dance : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5OsJwpV25Do.html
@@Jef-sj6zc Sure, he used to sing properly before, stick to the melodies more. I'm also not a fan of it, but in a way, I can understand. When you sing your songs for a long time (e.g. decades in his case) you get bored of singing or playing the exact same things so you start to play around. I do the same with my band sometimes, change a melody or lyric here and there, spice it up a bit... But like Venus in Furs from VU reunion concert (1993?) sounds bad without the original melody, he just made up some random stuff and it just didn't fit to the song. Btw nice covers, well done! Recordings sound very clean and well mixed. Bravo if you did them yourself 👏 I knew Berlin partly, but I've listened to it carefully many times lately and I really like it too. Beautiful music with quite heavy content sometimes. Great concept album.
@@AlperAkcoltekin Thank you , I think we understand each other better now. The covers I made I did by myself on Garage Band , ipad 2017 🙂. They are far from perfect but if I wanted that than I recorded it in a studio . It was more a project that I wanted to do for a long time and some songs are better succeeded than others. I am not a singer but I wanted to do this on my own ; so what I say about Lou Reed's singing is also the same with me singing those covers 🙂 But I appriciate your positive reaction ; thank you !!

Clem Burke is sadly considered an underrated drummer. He's a talented musician. He was also drummer for The Ramones as Elvis Ramone after Richard Reinhardt aka Richie Ramone. That's the prove of how much talented drummer Clem Burke is.
No bull frogs ,no fireflies ,no mussels. No watching swim in the creek , does anyone think the poison that kills the insects doesn't move up the food chain? Wash them veggies real good
The hard early yards. Paid off handsomely (don't mean money) to become wanted by men with taste for something primevally satisfying. Undisputed Queen❤️❤️❤️❤️
they were always very balanced in the mix, you can barely hear Chris on the rythm parts but he's there if you listen carefully and thickens the sound, then on the solos he stands out on his licks.
