Random stuff that I animate, composite, shoot, edit and/or otherwise produce. A lot of the videos here are a product of more than just my work. I have tried to give credit where I was certain of who did what. But I always worry about missing folks.... sooo... the thing to remember is that I only post stuff that I personally had a major hand in producing. This includes everything from the design/creation/production of 3D elements/environments where noted, roto work, writing in some cases, directing the animation aspects of a lot of stuff, shooting and editing the videos.. feel free to hit me up with questions or comments. Check out my site www.xandad.com for other stuff I do.... and some stuff that isn't here...
Oh man, the memories! I have tremendous respect for all the work you did for KidsWB, and I'm having an absolute blast going through your RU-vid channel -- that said, this one still stings because it came on the heels of Animaniacs being canceled (my favorite childhood show), and this felt like KidsWB was adding salt to the wound, hahah.
Thank you! I didn't do the modeling on this or the base lighting and textures, but I did do most of the choreography, camera moves etc, most of the roto, and probably about 95% of the compositing on this piece. Still one of my favorites! I've been crazy busy so I haven't moved forward much on my Unreal version of the Kids' WB backlot, but I can drive a Batmobile around it. hmm. I should post that... I'm glad you're enjoying the memories!
For anyone complaining about the cartoon characters such as Yugi, Shaggy, the Mummy, and others losing badly to the kids in this contest, and along with that girl, Erica, beating the Mummy in the final round even if it did seem rigged, one of the kids was meant to win because she along with other kids were in a running to win a prize from Kids WB back then. And you can’t give a prize to a cartoon character who doesn’t exist in real life. So that’s why this turned out the way it did. And besides, that girl who won this contest is probably looking back on this and laughing her head off. This was likely a memorable moment in her life, and she’s had to have seen this by now.
Hello great project something surreal about discovering some of the artist behind our childhood IDs and bumpers and the passion they still have. Not sure if this is still being worked on in your spare time but regardless I would be interested in checking out the model if that is fine with you.
Hey Xandad....I got something to ask you. Where you ever involved in doing the logo animations for some of the WB affiliate station ID's like WB56 WLVI Boston at least for some of the Kids WB56 ones?
I've thought about this question a lot because the answer is both yes and no. I worked for the actual network in Los Angeles. We would produce a "package" of graphics that would then get sent out to the "affiliates", like WB56. BUT, they would often modify our package to suit whatever their needs were and that would sometimes involve using our animations and designs in ways we did not intend. Mostly for the affiliate logos- we just provided a "look" that was as consistent for everyone as possible. So in general I don't recall animating station logos specifically.
@@xandad5312 Darn.....because I've been looking all over for these WB56 Station ID's for Pokemon with Jim Cutler the announcer saying "You're watching Kids WB56! The Home of Pokemon" that aired during like the 90s until around like 2004.
Xandad, GOD BLESS your SOUL, i was searching for this song for YEARS and could not find it, randomly thought of it today and gave it another go, just as i was about to give up again, i thought “kidswb had ALL the bops, if it’s not under kidswb then i don’t know!” and lo and behold :’) I’m glad to know i wasn’t the only one who went crazy trying to find it and knew they weren’t crazy still remembering this absolute classic YEARS later, i pray you have a good day cuz you made mine! 💖
