Hey again! Just wanted to ask since Shipfast comes with authentication, db and stripe, are there built in features for checking if the user has paid? Im wondering if I need to create the paywall myself and restrict users who havent paid. That would mean user schemas to the backend/db, adding flags for one time payments or subscriptions etc.
Hey, yes it's included. The standard Shipfast project is perfect for a freemium model. The webhook is already set up so that after a payment the state gets changed in the database and the user has access to the premium content. You still need to set up row policies in the Supabase dashboard though, otherwise UPDATE/PUT is not possible.

@@real-neo-altair Trying things until I find something that sticks. So far 2 people paid and I have done nothing besides doing this video which has 1k views. So first few $ made :)
This video is marketing too :) If I‘m lucky Marc will check it out and share it. I don‘t have big marketing plans for this specific project, but if people buy it, I would do SEO and integrate the product in my videos often to show how I am doing with my different projects. This creates curiosity what product this is and people will check it out :)

Yeah screwed that up. I‘m only visible in like the first couple of minutes or so anyway. Next time I will use a nice screen recording software as well to improve these sequences.
It‘s not completely dead, more on hold. I got overwhelmed by the scope which I set way too big. I went from working 12h/day on it to 0h/day and didn‘t get back to working on it. The website is offline, because I moved my hosting from paid to free tier and now just a few ago Heroku shut down the free tier completely. I might get back to building it. I don‘t count that out, just not my focus for now.
even easier, if there are errors paste them in .. chatgpt will correct the code .. prompt with 'show corrected code only' to not have full code repeated
Very cool; it would be exciting to see how an AI would talk about current topics if it had the information and was run through a similar process to create the blog posts.
wow mind blown. please more of these 'build an app via GPT3, MidJourney, Next.js' ... marketplaces? or apps with more complex UI controls? controlling OpenAi for example.. very META
Potentially. 1-2 more iterations of the model (e.g. GPT-4 is coming soon) + the ability to feed in more than text (e.g. layouts) and this thing will be extremely powerful.
If you want ChatGPT to continue where it cuts off just paste some exact point before it cuts off and ask it to not paste parts before it, and it'll give you blocks that are waaaay bigger than 4000 units, but in segments!:)
@@Zephyrsag Whenever it cuts off, copy the last line of code it gave you. In the prompt, ask it "can you continue where the code left off at {line of code} and do not rewrite anything that was before it". That should work.
They want your real phone number, what for you ask? No idea and they don't give a particularly good answer. Not a problem for people who freely share their information anyways, free in monetary terms yes
For normal or basic webpages or project yes, it can do the job. But when it comes to big and complicated ones which needs human logic and tweaking and common sense I don't think so. For me this is good when you want to search for solution faster than googling many pages until u get the answer u need. Or when u start learning coding But replacing Dev? Nah I don't think so.
Did they disable this feature? I tried entering the exact same thing as you but it said “ I'm sorry, but I'm not able to create websites or write code. As a large language model trained by OpenAI, my abilities are limited to providing general information and answering questions on a wide range of topics. “
My own conspiracy thoughts about that is, that it knows you perfecly well and decides beforehand what it will help you with fast and slow with. Depending of your personality and knowledge, of course. Maybe because it want to learn also from you and your possibilities a little.
I recommend to you to be more precise, you can tell the AI "develop a restaurant pizza page in HTML and CSS" and then say "take the same page and add it a JavaScript functionality of taking emails" and then say "build a server in SQL for the page" and keep going. Just give instructions as is code but now is more problem solving
