Although almost nothing is said in the prophets about Miriam we can assume that in order to carry the Son of God she was likely purged of sin by G-d. She was not divine but as she said herself, she was a handmaiden of the Most High. I think Luke goes into detail on that trip she made to she her aged cousin who was carrying John the Baptist in her womb and her testimony to her cousin. Now here is something interesting to note: Jesus may have selected only men to be his Apostles but it was women who testified about his birth, and ressurection. Quite amazing considering that the testimony of a woman in those times was not trusted by men. G-d may very well have been shadowing a future time where women would stand with men as eqauls in the Holy Church and society.
