She was refitted about 7 years after the television build. Most boat systems were retained, but the digital bus bar system for the electrics has been replaced for a more standard system. The boat layout is also now much more practical.
@@doverstravels186 it was watching that programme that first got me thinking of doing a narrowboat project. It only took to 18 months ago to actually get one though (and now I have two!). Do many people recognise it when on the waterways?
Enjoyed seeing NB Dover on the move again, Really great is the way you swap from the Chill-out music to the chug, chug of Dover’s 1950’s engine, I’ll be watching my Twitter notifications do make sure you tweet when you’re ready with the next video.
Thanks for the complement. Dover’s engine was actually built in 2003 to a 1930’s design. You can still get brand new Russel Newberrys ( for a mere 20K). I am working on the videos for the rest of the trip up the Thames (we are now on the Oxford Canal) and will indeed tweet when the next one is done.
