Thanks for stopping by, we love our tech and random gadgets and want to share our thoughts. Let us know if we're way off base or if you've had similar thoughts and impressions.
Maybe get a 0,5m DAC between UDM and USW. Just port 11 at the UDM to 25 of the USW. Yeah, it's "just" 1GbE, but it's the way. (And maybe set the UDM's port 11 to 1GbE, manually.)
If all you want to do is organize your note-taking, you’ll love the Scribe- it has a great screen, and yours is the perfect use case. If you want to integrate it with other applications on a computer, IOS, etc., then you’ll probably outgrow the Kindle ecosystem, and end up graduating to a reMarkable, Supernote, or Boox.
Give your wife the scribe and try a Supernote. 😅 Best notebook replacement hands down. has ocr search, tagging etc. I own both the Scribe and Supernote so am speaking from personal experience.
@@enriquediaz7547 nope thats Remarkable, their other competitor. Supernote is v consumer friendly. They still support previous gens w OS updates, advocate for right to repair, and are against planned obsolescence.
The Unifi 24-port switch is nice, but there are a couple of drawbacks: only 95 watts PoE power budget, for 16 PoE ports. So average of only 6 watts per port. Fiber uplink ports are only 1gb. For a switch with 24 gigabit ports, the fiber uplinks really should be 10 gigabit.
Great video, I have the TP-Link version ( controller/router/main switch with smaller switches throughout the home, basically the same setup, even up to the adoption process, the apps are really similar too..I really wish TP came out with a cable modem to tie it all together. Keep up the good work.
You got the Unifi bug like me, once you start you can’t stop haha! I just recently switched out my whole set up. I went with the same 24 port POE switch, but I do wish the 2 SFP ports were 10 GbE. Thanks for sharing and keep up the hard work of putting out videos.
This came up after watching my own UCI video as a recommended video so the algorithm and or search are favorign this video so keep it up! 1 big tip I'd like to share is that when I first started being in front of a camera is to literally freeze when I lose my train of thought and then cut the dead air space. Did Ubiquiti reach out to you after buying as well? They wanted to make sure I got it activated and I asked them questions. They said they are planning on adding telemetry stats within Q1 so you can see the power levels, correctables, uncorrectables, etc. Hopefully that will come sooner rather than later. I like mine and it's more stable than my old SB8200 which I believe is the same chipset as the NetGear that you had previously.
@@KieranMahoney the ISPs routers just reduce you down to what their default throttling speeds are. Some do 20% of your advertised speed, some do even less.
Definitely appreciate this video. I've worked with Uniquiti in the past and wanted to incorporate it more into my own SOHO. I know once get it, I'll be investing more and more into Ubiquiti ecosystem.
rackmountable makes it worth it + having it native to the unifi ecosystem. For business customers like myself our rack is filled with cisco gear and I've been looking for a rack mountable modem for a long time
Generally side effects for speeding up a print too much are ringing/ghosting artifacts. Looks to me like you’re having extrusion issues which are amplified at higher print speeds. Partial nozzle clog, untuned extruder e-steps, untuned flow rate, dampers on the extruder motor, or incorrect extruder spring tension could all be your culprit. You’re correct that faster prints are always going to have worse print quality, but the side-effects you’re getting are not normal.
I got a ender 3 v2 and i always print fast as hell and besides the surface finish being alittle rougher. I do find i cant doo the same for parts like yours with longer sides
You didn't have to call your ISP? you're supposed to give them the MAC address showing on the display. When I installed mine it took only 5 minutes on the phone with Spectrum, very easy and quick experience unlike past experiences where I was on the phone for hours. Overall I'm very happy with this new modem, it fits perfectly with the rest of my equipment and I used very short cable from the UCI to UDM Pro.
The printers tip is overheated bc the pla is heated to over limits ending up in the nozle or other imported parts of the printer you need to getit checked out
