God it hits close to home 💀 I feel like I’m constantly flapping my lips and no matter how good my intentions are or how hard I try to keep to myself, I always end up digging my own grave no matter what. This song hurts so much. Imagine your first love. Had a heart connection for over 20 yrs. Reconnected, got together and wanted what you always dreamed of but you just couldn't get it right. You will never love anyone like him. You hold on but know you have to let go because when it was bad it was real bad. Too many hurtful unforgivable things from each. Now he is gone. You still think of him. Every song. You close your eyes and remember his kiss, every touch and cry because you never could make it into the 20 yrs of dreams you lived without him.
