looking to upgrade my gen 3 raptor to be better for tail riding with deep ruts and rick crawling type situations. Recomendations? i want to keep the live syspension working
Somewhat of a JJ fan from the Jeep world, however NVH becomes a concern especially with the Raptor audience. Will this increase NVH into the cab vs oem or vs a rubber style joint like MetalCloak or Poly Performance use?
Does this work with the WP preload adjuster? Had a few reports that the preload adjuster when fitted doesn’t allow room for an aftermarket bladder kit?
Any updates on these? I can't find a review anywhere? Have you sold any for the 5th gen yet? I'd really like to try these out but Im hesitent. What all is required besides your kit? I'm assuming springs are separate? I'm currently regeared and supercharged with an occasional little jump here and there... I wheel hard and sometimes a bit crazy lol does this kit also have the oh sit button on the steering? wheel?
Hello, I'm trying to make a pcb to control the solenoid valve on my Smart Shox. In your video you use a current of 0 - 1.2A and a voltage of 0 - 3.95V. Do you know if these values are able to reach the maximum operating range of the valve (0-100%)? Is current modulation the best way to control the Smart Shox valve? Thanks! Cheers from Brazil
love my SDI for my taco. although I do have some ideas number 1 would be the ability to customize and re arrange the sdi menu and the icons. would be cool to have a Bluetooth module were you can pair it with your phone and change icon/menu layout select your quick access menu. or just change colors and icons. number 2 would be a little more involved but way more useful, is having the ability to adapt a full range of obd functions examples would be seeing in the display more precise in depth engine oil, coolant, and transmission temps. things that you can't really see in a Tacoma cluster, as well as engine codes, engine light reset, gears, shift lights etc. etc. basically turning sdi into a powerhouse and a once stop device that can do it all. just my idea.
Sound like a great system. I did all the other mods and yes whilst the handling is great now, the ride comfort is still the same, with the bangs. I wish I could afford it though, its a little expensive.
the real prob;em here is the little lady who wants to have all the comforts of home before she'll hit the open road in an rv her wishes will result in a top -heavy vehicle that is grossly overweight the solution is to keep all of the storage ,cooking and refrigeration below 3' above the floor
One question that nobody on any of these videos will talk about. What is the cost for this system? Everyone talks about how great it is, but will not disclose the cost! I know it varies, but at least give us an idea of what it will be! Its not that hard!
I come here from the web page to get an intro to the product and some demo of what it does and how it works. Instead I get another one of those useless marketing videos. I know how it is to drive in the desert, camping and off-roading, that’s why I am looking at these shocks. I don’t need to watch a video about it. I want to know why should I spend an extra $1000-$1500 for those, and I just get nice rides among rocks and in the desert. Sorry, that doesn’t cut it.
I need this for my taco! Are there any plans for a universal kit. I retrofitted a rear sway into my taco. It would be cool to be able to disconnect and reconnect both swaybars automatically
Roll is when driving in a straight line, turn is when turning! Per their description there is an IMU onboard that can tell the difference between a tilt (straight) and a rotation (turn). I guess they found that one may want different settings because the shift in weight in both situations is different.
Is there anyone who can tell me what spring compressor this is? I need a floor mounted unit and everything I've found is too lightweight for raptor springs.
You guys should really redesign the schrader oring interface. Its a bit archaic as if you a hair bit tight on threading it into the bladder the oring gets cut or overly compresses. Just machine a groove for the oring so it self captures like the wp screw design so when its tight the oring has no where to go. That way no failures can occur and you have a more reliable fool proof system. Otherwise a great product. I have several.
I have one right now I can't get to stop leaking around the end cap. Took it apart didn't see anything that would be causing it to leak. Put it back together...still leaks not a bad as before but still leaking. Then I remembered I had serviced a few shocks with the sdi bladder and the bladder war torn in all of them... probably because they all leak then tear the bladder. Junk! Installing the racetech kit now.
Great video, Dan! I was the Editor-in-Chief of 4Wheel Drive & Sport Utility Magazine and Off-Road Magazine, so have used just about every shock offering and adjuster design. The SDi e-Click looks to be the best ever.
Accuair retains the shocks it just replaces the springs. So, essentially it should work but I would caution on when both systems are active/dynamic. I would think it would put stress somewhere. I have the eClik and I love it. I wish I had the ability to adjust my ride height for trails, towing, drive thrus and my garage because that when I would use Accuair system. Perhaps, SDI make their own that works with the eClik system/controller. Or develop some synergy with Accuair
I was wondering the same thing because I was in the process of pairing the accuair with the falcon 3.3 for more stability and to avoiding getting the rockslider steps, but this would work perfectly if it's compatible
