I run a 1420 kv 8s on 21t and it moves like a scalded cat, it beats 6s 2050 on grass .The 6s gets the win on road on 20t with a longer stretch. At least thats my findings. I wil run 6s mostly because the diffs on 8s are bound to implode !
Two of the best vechiles ever made. I just recently repurchased a 6s Typhoon and own a Talion exb. On a 21 tooth pinion and two PowerHobby 3s 100c batteries I have hit 71 mph with the Talion's stock system. Have not speed tested the Typhoon yet. My previous Typhoon with the stock pinion was in the 62 mph to 63 mph range. It seems that the Talion is capable of handling more different sized pinions than the Typhoon. Talion can go to a 23 tooth. Typhoon 20 tooth. Completely stock the Talion is hitting damn near 80 mph. I don't think the Typhoon stock is quite as fast on the top end.
You honestly can't tell me adding that power and tires make it any faster then stock because your adding weight I got into a power to weight battle with my notorious 6s I converted it to 8s started to shred my driveline then I upgraded my drive line then is was heavier so I went to a tp motor then it broke more driveline it was an un ending battle then eventually I added carbon fiber parts and figured out its all about the rotating mass and weight so I made it stock again and had way less issues
What about the cover that goes over the inside electronics body..(dont know the name of it but its transparent and looks kind of like a cut out stocking cap). Have you tried one of those?
Ya I'm curious what you're doing about tuning your rig. I got one about 2-3 weeks ago. I went with the hobbywing Max 8 with the 2250kv motor. Now that I have had a little time getting used to it. I wanna know what people are doing to make it handle better. You mentioned it did under steering..... What I called it pushing the front end. I think spring is way too soft. So I cranked down on the preload.
Softer springs in the front will make it turn better with less push. The typhon tlr handles differently on the road with road tires then it does on dirt with dirt tires on the same suspension setup.
Did you consider locking the center differential I did it recently it changes the truck characteristics a little bit but I'm not sure it's a bad thing power slides like an arrma infraction now haha
That’s was more like a failed pit maneuver by the SBR. considering the DB was ahead when it happened and going perfectly straight. Another win for the DBXLE. Love that thing. I started out an arrma fanboy with my outcast 8S EXB then a fully M2Cafied EXB Kraton including overkill 🦴 🦴 with Max 5/EZRun 56113 800KV combo. THEN I got my first 2 Losis. Mini 8eight and the DBXLE 2.0… NOTHING puts the power to the ground better than the DBXLE on 7.5” Duratrax Sixpacks. Gets to 50mph almost instantly.
ive got the identical setup with scorched inner fenders, i started with a 20t pinion and moved up to a 23t and she rips hard, using a gens ace basher series 120c and i put stiffer springs in the rear and 70wt rear, 60wt front. Love my mojave its a tank and its scary fast. ordered some method belted tires also
yesterday i just finished my exb build i put max 6 with 1650kv. a 19tooth pinion it’s actually pretty big. bad weather still haven’t tested but when i opened box it barely fits i was shocked i’m scared of trying 8s
@@Rcsam89 yea i believe it i was impressed with a 4s test run with 4092 motor wow. i was shocked and that was stock esc setting punch at 2. it’s much bigger than i thought. thanks i knew 8s would be too much plus battery weight. thanks happy new year
I use duct tape. Lol. When they get dirty or break I just put a new one on. Get the weather proof extreme duct tape. Works well. Lol thanks for watching!
Two different worlds, nothing here to compare. Not even if you compare with the arrma infraction v1 v2 or the felony. None of those rc ar to race or speed runs so. If you ar more that's 1 or 2 year in the rc hobby you should already know. just my humble opinion. 🤷🏻
Awesome video. I have the Talion all stock, apart from the 18t pinion and backflip 4s lp tyres. The fastest I have reached is 68 mph 😁. Tyres do a huge difference
