Had my two dogs on a Leash well one my cousins and hers is more aggressive mine won’t bark or hurt anyone but a neighbor has his bid deadly dog out slit my dogs skin by jumping on him and almost locked my cousins dog and I’m tryna stop a 2v1 that still wasn’t even close 😂 their dog coulda took my two dogs out like nothing

I came looking for info on dog fights because they scare the crap out of me. I have a chocolate lab and he would never start a fight but he also wont lay down if a dog come after him. We got mauled my a couple dogs when he was younger. Now i rarely take him in public because i fear it happening again
Not that easy I literally just was driving down the street and the road was blocked by two pitbull fighting and both of the owners were trying to get them apart. They were throwing bricks at them and everything. Trust me they tried pulling on the leashes and nothing worked
Thank you for this video! I wish you'd explained what exactly you're using and if you're looping the leash over their back end to get to their neck rather than over the head. My two females got in a fight to the death brawl last night and it was terrifying. Nothing I did would make them let go. Fortunately, my husband was there and we did the wheelbarrow method to get them apart. I didn't consider tethering one dog if doing the choke technique so that tip was very helpful!
It’s just a leash. If you slip the clip part through the handle and put it over the dog, it creates a slip leash. You have to make sure it’s up by the ears or you could really hurt your pup. Also pull straight up, never back. If you try tearing them apart in opposite directions, you’ll just tear the skin. You have to cut off the airflow by pulling up so they instinctually let go
You could do that but just in case don't because if the dog that your dog is attack he turn around and get start attacking you not saying you could use this method but I'd you would happen you probably need to punch the dog if it's starts attacking you
I have huge dogs and they always fight I really needed help because one was younger and one showed more dominance but the dominant dog stopped doing it the younger dog would always was mad to the older dog because she was tired of it then the older dog started showing dominance again and has not stopped so we are working on the fights and younger and also older dog❤
Been telling people this forever but no!! They keep yelling and hitting and that does nothing. Choke on a pit bull especially cause there so strong jawed and strong willed.

That’s the first step in his defense training. Cuz he knows each method he uses will eventually become ineffective. But he won’t teach RU-vid his final method :P

Big ass black lab pit mix and another black lab shit is spooky when the bigger ones fight. I don't even want to think about 150 lb dogs fighting
Im sorry but i have to English mastif male siblings who get in to some pretty bad fights and there is no way im attempting to wrap a collar around them when they are going at it this technique seems easy when this dog is bitting on something thats not trying to fight back and doesnt have another dog going after its neck
Tethering the dog to something will help. I’ve had to break up fights between large dogs before. I tethered one dog to a fence post and choked the other dog off. In your situation a breaking stick may be needed.
@@markcabral5983that's because youre not supposed to pull. You lift the back legs, spread and hold high so they have less leverage to shake and twist. Can break the legs if necessary
So im suppose to wait for the guy to do all that to his dog, in hopes that the dog will let go of mine? My dog could be dead while im waiting for you to tie your leash and get a good hold. Lets not forget that your dog was attacking a toy, not another dog.
I wouldn’t wait for anyone. I’m going to tether my dog to a tree and use my belt to choke the other dog off as quickly as I can. To do nothing but wait would guarantee major damage or death.
To do nothing when something can be done to save both animals is irresponsible. Anyone who owns a dog should know how to break up a dog fight in a way that does not causing more damage and injury.
That's the concept. How do you stop a machine? You turn the switch off. By choking the dog, it won't be able to breathe so it would let go of whatever is in its mouth. I think this is only a last resort imo, especially if the dog doesn't have a leash yet. My first attempt would be to lift their back legs. It worked, I've tried it before on a ±25 kg male dog. And I'm also a woman who doesn't work out so unless you're a child, an elderly, or a disabled, you don't have any excuse to not stop dog fight especially if it's yours.
@@sherine9033 more times than not, lifting the dog and pulling it away will cause more damage. I tether whichever dog is easiest to get to to something secure. I then secure the hips of the non tethered dog, then slip the leash around it’s neck and lift gently until the feet leave the ground. Most dogs will let go before passing out. This is a last resort. If the fight doesn’t end quickly, this is what I do once they are in holds. Some people carry breaking sticks, most do not.
What are you talking about? Have you ever seen 2 dogs get into a fight? It's horrifying. To do nothing is irresponsible. This is how you're supposed to do it, choke the dog until they either let go or pass out. Only way to REALLY STOP a dog fight.
